  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You are not welcome in a Harris America

What about what Grant Beth and Luke Polaske had to say about their experience with Harris?
That’s their word against hers so to speak. We don’t have her side, only their’s and she probably doesn’t think the situation deserves more attention.

In my opinion, they planned to to shout and protest but didn’t expect her response. They then used the situation to get more attention on a Fox interview. Immature, attention seeking behavior.

I was referring to someone referencing her interview on Fox.
Oh, my bad. That's the problem with pronouns - with no antecedent it's not clear who "she" is. Whose interview?

Do you think they arranged the interview through their agent? It's much more likely Fox's idea to invite them to be interviewed and there was no reason for them not to accept. And I think they told the truth and I think that's what's really irking some folks.

Fox airing a controversy for views is no surprise. I don’t believe the young men are honest.

Evidence presented by what source?
Fox, with the video. You can hear lies, lies lies, and immediately Harris responds. What you can’t hear is Christ is King or Jesus is lord. The other video from the back of the crowd, those religious shouts can be heard, but not Lies lies lies. Also, the video from the back cuts without including any part of Harris’s response. That is suspect. At what point did they shout religious statements? It could have been after the fact on their way out.

Okay so you're talking about the video I posted (Post #91) in contrast to what other video?

The Fox article in the OP? So one Fox video is proving another Fox video is fake?
There are multiple sources with the same video. The OP video just happens to be from Fox.

For which thing?

No need for you and yours to vote, then.
God will provide…or not, according to His will.

Since God makes the choice for us, do we have free will?
I ask again: 'what season'? I wasn't the one who brought that word up.
Since I literally cannot vote in this election, you're not wrong.
Interesting as to the wording you used there-- 'provide'.
I see it as retribution against our sins, either way.
It's a most deserving situation, a just recompense.
And no, I don't think we have 'free will' in the sense that you are aiming at.

I chose that word on my own because it's used in the bible fairly frequently and because what happened is being challenged.
You didn't use it because the definition of the word made it appropriate word to use?

It seemed appropriate to me. For whatever reason I think someone got bent out of shape over it.

Yes because it is attempting to characterize it dishonestly.

I ask again: 'what season'? I wasn't the one who brought that word up.

Sigh. Again, I can only re-ask, for which thing? The quote is “For every thing there is a season…”

Perhaps you could clarify what it is you’re asking as the question makes no sense to me as it stands. I can’t answer a question I don’t understand.

We already know what her side is about everything: "Let me be clear, I was raised in a middle-class family.....and Trump is a threat to democracy!"

I guess you should listen to her more if that’s all you got.
