CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No, Paul did not always preach in the public square.
The only place he preached in public was in Athens, and there he had moved from the marketplace, where he had first started preaching, to Mars Hill when he was told that was the appropriate location.
Otherwise, he normally preached in synagogues where preaching was expected, or in private homes. In Ephesus he rented a building to preach. In Philippi he began preaching outside the city on the river bank, then moved his preaching into Lydia's home.

That didn’t happen but the young men who claim the objection was their words and not their disruption are riding the wave of manufactured outrage.

It's happening throughout this thread.
Nonsense, people shout out during rallies all the time. It's a rally, not a funeral. The issue for Christians is how Harris responded to someone shouting out Jesus is Lord.

Again, it was a rally. Not a somber affair, but a rally where people make all kinds of noise and shout out. That wasn't the problem. The problem wasn't someone shouting Jesus is Lord at a rally. That probably happens all the time. The problem is how Harris responded to it because it made her look bad.

I would be interested in seeing you walk into a synagogue today and declare that preaching about Lord Jesus there is an 'expected' thing to do. Now that would be refreshing change.

It's the wrong candidate rally for being pro-life and saying Jesus is Lord. It seems to me that's pretty much been fully established, so it sems there's really nothing further to debate in this thread.
