  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You are not welcome in a Harris America

You're asserting she's weaponizing religion without evidence, when it's the folks using Jesus name as a form of political protest doing that.
The video is evidence of her doing that.
Don't you believe Christ is King? Or would you consider that to be too much of a "political protest"?

Telling Christians they don't belong there can define her as well.

Most people understand these people declaring "Jesus is Lord" are there not to declare the Gospel, rather, they are there to make a political talking point which Fox and others readily exploit.

I'm tempted to say that if someone is daft enough to think that Harris was being derogatory to Christianity at that rally then they'd be daft enough to use their vote to protest.

Sadly, that is true.

Here is a good update from someone who was there.
Is anyone accusing Harris of telling her supporters to mock them, shove them, beat the crap out of them and that she would pay their legal fees? All this fake outrage is tiresome.
There is evidence that Kamala reacted to the proclamation "Jesus is Lord" and said, "Oh, you guys are at the wrong rally."
So, if you are in the voting booth and plan to vote for Harris, remember that she said you are at the wrong rally.

There is fare more evidence that Harris noticed the hecklers heckling and told them they belonged to the "little rally" as they were obviously not supporter. Heaven forfend anyone handle a situation involving obnoxious hecklers of whatever faith with humor and grace!

There is none. What we actually have are people pretending that she did

America is not a monarchy. Christ may be King of Heaven, but the political rally is on earth.

Odd. Years of "heckling" at Trump rallies. Not a word from the left. Suddenly, it becomes a concern when it happens to Kamala.
Go figure. Once again... rules for thee and not for we.
It was not an issue until the Christian Right acted as if the hecklers were somehow ill done be because they were escorted out.

What would Christians be saying if someone stood up in Church and kept shouting 'Vote for Harris'? Hopefully most Christians would have a similar reaction of someone kept shouting vote for Trump. Sadly some would not.

Prove to us she actually heard what they said.

The amount of bearing false witness of Harris in this thread is astonishing.

What grieves me is how much of it comes from Christians...likely for not much more reason than they disagree with her politics.

It’s easier to believe what they want to believe rather than face facts.

Y'all have just about convinced me that you actually deserve the guy.
I could read all the Australian news.
But it isn't the same as being on the ground.

One complaint I have against American media is the lack of reporting. There is only so much time and space. Most media features the click bait; sensationalism, abortion, racism, or some news about crime and courts.

For instance, You did not know there had been Ice Storms in Oregon. The electricity had been out in areas for 7-11 days.
You mentioned the electricity being out for that long would be a reportable disaster if it were in Cuba. Oregon was not mentioned in any major news outlet here.

Our politicians seem to follow the news as closely as anyone so the issues they perceive are influenced by the media. And that is why
"America First" is a Trump theme. We don't have any significant racism in this area but we do have roaring inflation and bad roads. Nothing in the news about that. Even the News has become America Last.

This could very well be Harris' October Surprise.
Pretending that Trump's opponent hates Christians while she has never indicated that in the slightest while shrugging at Donald's threatening to call the military on US citizens, putting FEMA workers at risk from his lies about them while the crisis is ongoing is less a surprise than a continuation of his pranks.

Here is the testimony of Grant Beth and Luke Polaske. They say Harris was looking right at them:

Not surprised. Everyone standing facing her. The person walking out would be very easy to notice.

She was looking right at them when she said "you guys are at the wrong rally" in response to Grant Beth and Luke Polaske saying Jesus is Lord / Jesus is King.

It's just a simple fact as I see it. They said Jesus is Lord / Jesus is King and Harris responded to them saying "oh you guys are at the wrong rally" then she waved, at them, and said "no I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street". With a smarmy mocking grin the whole time, and then she waved them off. That's what happened as anyone can plainly see and hear.

Very true. Jesus himself declared his kingdom is not of this world. And utilizing won't be until he returns.

Until then we all just do our best to vote for flawed politicians to govern us. And we choose who we think will best do that. Since we are all individuals we have things that we all feel are most important to us. And we will vote for people who seem to align with those values as best we can. Sometimes we have candidates who just don't line up on either side so we have to go with who's closest. Those values can have a wide range.

And this election proves that.

There seems to be a lot of guessing on this thread. Was Harris saying that to the "Jesus us Lord" people or the ones chanting "lies, lies, lies"

Based upon the democratic mantra on Trump being a huge liar and Harris' own comments, I think it's likely that she would be telling the liar folks they are at the wrong rally. They should be at the Trump rally saying that to him. It seems to make the most sense to me.
