The KJV talks about God bringing people from the depths of the earth. When I asked you how deep the earth was you said that the deepest hole ever dug was 40,000 feet + - your words.
Several threads ago, you said that the flat disc of the earth was suspended within a square - the 4 corners were " further out" you said. Your words.

I'm glad you now recognise that they were rubbish.

We were taught in school about Columbus & that before Columbus sailed the seas people believed the earth was flat and would fall of the edge. I remember saying to myself at the time, 'how could people believe such a thing, that the earth was flat' from there on (for some reason) this has always played on my mind.

Moving on a few years I met this guy who explained to me how the earth was flat & he even drew a picture for me with the surrounding ice ring that would stop us sailing off the edge, so I began to research flat earth & when I read Genesis 1, well, this just blew my mind away.

This is when I started to believe that every word of God was true & the rest is history.

So I know how you feel & think about someone who believes the earth is flat & how hard it is to take them serious.

But never mind, maybe some day you too will see the light.

My point was that @d taylor seemed to suggest that there is no universe because there is no mention of it in Genesis 1.
But many things aren't mentioned in Genesis 1 - we are not told how our brains and nervous systems were made, for example. My question was, does that mean you don't have a brain because it's not mentioned, or described, in Genesis 1?

Also, what has your childhood question about what is at the end of space got to do with whether or not the Solar System exists?

God created everything that we have today; that includes the solar system and the universe.

Who says so? I know you do, but on what basis? You see, our word "planets" comes from asters planetai, ancient Greek for “wandering stars.” Such ancient languages defined a star as any luminous object in the sky other than the sun and the moon.

If you want to call the 1st heaven/sky (raqia) where the sun moon and stars are located, the universe. But when people use the word universe, 99.9% of the time they are meaning sciences version. How are you using the word.
