The question remains from that old post: Where is the "no you voted wrong so we are ignoring it" option found in the powers of the Kansas legislature?
If it's based on someone's rights, does it matter what a majority thinks?

Kansas, as far as I can tell, is a rather pro-life conservative state. Some even says it's in the Bible Belt even though it's in the Midwest.

I'm just rambling now.

When it’s put to a vote like in Kansas, yes.

Kansas, as far as I can tell, is a rather pro-life conservative state.

Did all the pro lifers get lost on the way to vote?

I’m trying to understand it. Abortion made legal nationwide, deity makes no move for decades. National protections overturned and a state votes on it then its going to do something?
As they say, Rome wasn't built in a day. All evil things will face their doom (I love to be over dramatic, it sounds way better - in other words good will triumph over evil ).

I don't know.

You're probably right.

Maybe times are a changing.

I still think it's sad Kansas voted for abortion.

I have nothing else to add.

Forcing preteens to have their rapist’s child isn’t?
YOU ARE THE ONE CHANGING THE SUBJECT! I QUOTED ONE OF THE OTHER POSTERS and this is what I said:
No, but viciously murdering a child in the mother's womb is evil, disgusting and WRONG and should be fought for ending as much as poverty. So, stop trying to make this a either or scenario. We Must uplift the poor and struggling middle class so they can live decently (in a happier state than what is given to them now) AND stop performing abortion for selfish reasons (and know I am talking about the 97% of abortions that don't fall under the category of rape, incest or the mother's health, so please do not bring that up as your argument for abortion).
Right now I am arguing against those 97% of abortions so stop bringing up that %3 (rape, incest, health of mother) TOO JUSTIFY THE OTHER 97%!!!

Getting there with the exclamation points.
You like them? I'll have to use them even more . And now I'm finding using all capital letters is a real intimidating factor. I'll have to try bold and italics too at some point because you abortion rights people are so thick headed somethings got to make common sense sink into your heads.

Nebraska Republicans lack votes to pass 12-week abortion ban
(Reuters) - Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts will not convene the state legislature for a special session to consider stricter abortion laws because Republican lawmakers did not have the votes to pass a ban on abortion after 12 weeks of pregnancy, he said on Monday.

Like Kansas, Nebraska is a deep red Midwestern state where the state house has a huge Republican majority. But not quite huge enough and not all support this ban.
Just because Kansas people may have voted more Republican than Democrat in the past elections doesn't make Kansas a conservative state. In
fact, conservativism has nothing to do with right and wrong or good and evil. Abortion is wrong and evil and should not be allowed as a way to solve an unwanted pregnancy. So whippy do whether the people there are conservative or not, they still don't know right from wrong.

Some in the pro-life crowd. To be fair I have meet some who are fair minded and willing to put their money where their mouth is.

The issue with extremists. One side gets extreme and the other side moves in the opposite direction.
For 50 years, Americans allowed the slaughter of unborn children up to the 9th month and Democrats did absolutely nothing to curve the appetite of this destructive process. Now that the law has sway a tiny bit better for the unborn child, those who want further restrictions on abortion are called extremists and the pro-abortion advocates whine and whine and whine. A child is being ripped to pieces or melted down in some horrible solution. What a bunch of (I was going to use the word barbarians but out of respect for our good friend The Barbarian I won't) "fill in the blank with some vile word".

Remember just because a large group of people like the particular evil (in this case killing the unborn child) doesn't make it right. Abortion is a so called right based on a delusional and corrupted view of liberty. Therefore, flukes will be squashed like the cockroaches they are.
Okay, I'm being a little melodramatic now. Let's slow it down .

This is why some take issue with the pro-life movement. You start out with assumptions based on nothing I have said or insinuated. Then you move on to self congratulatory claims of work that has, to date, fallen short of what is needed. You finish off by belittling and demonizing those you disagree with.

This is what it looks like to be part of the problem instead of helping.
You know, I may not fully agree with the way I supposedly responded to you but "you just can't handle the truth". The Pro-Life movement helps those people out as much as they can through programs such as Project Rachel, Catholic Charities, Help For Moms, and almost every Christian denomination has some form of crisis pregnancy help for women. Democratics, Planned Parenthoods and NOW's solutions are kill the unborn baby.

You truly don't understand how disgusting of a practice abortion is. That's why we continue to argue against pro-abortion points and yes, we get ticked off sometimes because pro-abortionist are so so blind in what they want. We are not belittling you - you are belittling yourselves with your pro-abortion stance. You are supporting the ripping apart of a truly innocent human being. Wake up!!!

You know when Florida started these voter referendums on the ballets, I saw trouble a brewing. I don't know if you are a Trump supporter or not but look how many people are voting for him. So, a majority of people can be absolutely wrong on a subject. Take for instance, betting on sports games. Oh, everybody loves that. Is it right - NO. I'll go one better, Wallstreet and these day traders - peoples lives and jobs are on the line and these day traders play the market like it's a game, just to get rich. And the next to the ultimate one is pornography. Everybody knows it entices men and women to do these that are demoralizing and wrong. Nothing good in it at all but try taking it away and oh my gosh, the sky is falling.

So even if there is nothing the legislature can do to prevent this vile constitutional act from taking place, I hope the legislature makes the pro-abortionist's lives extremely difficult.

By shutting down the abortion clinics for be dirty. By coming down hard on abortionist doctors for any little violations. For jailing men who have gotten women pregnant and then seeking abortions. For jailing women who have had multiple abortions. And I sure the legislature could come up with better ideas.
