  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

republicans won't give him up even as he gets more and more confused.
I can think of reasons for that. One is that everybody in the Party is afraid of him. Another one is that they would have to put up an alternative and any choice would divide them.

Then there is the putative alternative candidate. Who would that be? Vance?

They are stuck with him now and his light is fading.

Maybe Trump isn't as demented as people think. I mean, if your next in line is JD Vance, that's a powerful deterrent.

My favorite was when asked how he'd prep for debate with Walz, he said he had a friend who lied a and he'd practice with him.
I liked that too. It was a great response, since Walz is a liar.

And quite frankly the post comeback, was pretty good too.
She was a little more excited than most Americans over his selection.
This wasn't an interview. Just a day in the life of. An off the cuff unscripted event. Vance asked questions most people would ask when making small talk. Did you expect him to go in and order two dozen donuts and ask them what they thought of all the illegals coming across the border? Or maybe their feelings on Walz lying?

At least he and his team decided they would do more prep work when doing these type of things. Good for him.

This was a big nothing burger.
Last week, audio from a 2020 podcast captured Vance seeming to agree that raising grandchildren was “the whole purpose of the postmenopausal female” and that having grandparents help raise children was a “weird, unadvertised feature of marrying an Indian woman.”

Not hearing the podcast I can't comment accurately, but apparently Vance did what a lot of us do which is respond based upon what we think the person was going to say.

And obviously Vance wasn't aware that grandma would just drop everything and come live with them for a year and help.take care of the baby. You know it would have been a shock to me too.

But he went on to explain how great it was that grandma would do that. Which went against the liberal progressive way of thinking.

Van Kirk told The Independent that “JD was complementing the selflessness of his mother-in-law for being willing to help care for her grandchildren. Millions of grandparents across our country do the same every day.”

If you ask me this is just more evidence of the liberal news media being involved in campaigning for the democrats. A bunch of democrat shills.

I wonder if Harris and Walz will have "colds" when they do the CNN interview tomorrow. Nothing that a little editing won't cure, eh? Good thing it won't be live!
I will be shocked if CNN does any hard hitting interview with them as they did with the Trump team.

Sounds like another difference between a political party and whatever the republican party has become. When it became clear that Biden was too old to be effective, the party moved to replace him.

Notice, that in spite of Trump's numerous fumbles, imaging Revolutionary War airports, and the like, republicans won't give him up even as he gets more and more confused. Like Nikki Haley, they keep hoping he can pull himself together and somehow be competent.

It's not happening.
Sounds like a political couple, since hos people voted for him and not Kamala. And up until then no one said a thing. They were all prepared to go with Biden. They had been lying to everyone for a long time including their own members. But no one seems to care about that.

Yeah we know you hate Trump. Tell us all his problems won't you. He is far more competent than Harris as she has proven her incompetence over the last 3 1/2 years.

And now 3 1/2 years later she is going to fix the mess she made?

Harris has been totally propped up by the media and social media. Every news story is favorable and positive about her. All the pundits on the left stream video love and support her, brag on her tell everyone how great she is. They do the same with Walz. He's wonderful, amazing and never does or says anything controversial.

Then they go on to rip Trump and Vance. They talk about how shocking and horrible they are etc etc. Everything they say is shocking and controversial.

This is a totally media driven hype and the low information voters are being influenced. It's been proven now that the internet, YouTube and social media platforms are doing everything they can to feed people left wing propaganda and hide anything negative about Harris and Walz while pumping only negative things about Trump and Vance and hiding anything positive about them.

THIS is how elections are manipulated. They have now seen their power and Influence.

Whether it's effective enough remains.to be seen, but they are certainly trying. And if they lose this election, they will go back to work to do better next time.
If they are elected remember all these threads so you can remind people “You voted for this,”

Yeah we know you hate Trump.
I despise sexual assault, theft, fraud, adultery, and so on. I don't hate anyone. I despise his behavior. If he were to repent and ask God for forgiveness, things would be entirely different.

But he never asks God for forgiveness.

After months of reflection, Donald Trump says he still doesn't regret his decision not to ask God for forgiveness for his sins.

In an interview on Sunday with CNN, the Republican presidential frontrunner said that he does not regret never asking God for forgiveness, partially because he says he doesn't have much to apologize for.

"I have great relationship with God. I have great relationship with the Evangelicals," Trump said in the interview before pivoting to his poll numbers among Evangelical voters.

That would require him to acknowledge that God is greater than he is. And unlike Harris, Trump was fired for incompetence in 2020.

Why do you despise those things? Is this a contest then in your eyes on who is the most immoral? Because supporting killing babies up until thwy are out of the womb and mutilating children are two things I hate.

I see and you are positive Harris has done a great deal.of repenting has she? Same with Walz?

How many times have they been questioned on their repentance?

No, there is still the weirdness. That's of some interest.

You should despise all those things. I wouldn't support an abortionist for office any more than I'd support a sexual predator and convicted criminal like Trump.

They are pretty much the same thing in my estimation. But I don't think that you are morally the same as Donald Trump, merely because you support a sexual predator. Likewise, I wouldn't hold someone as the same as an abortionist, if they supported an abortionist, or supported someone who supported a person who supports abortion. But all of this should give you pause.

I think it's good that under Walz, that abortion after the child is viable became banned. Not good enough, but a step in the right direction. After the Dobbs decision one state after another has moved to make abortion a right. And that's a huge step backwards. Sometimes, government isn't the answer.

I predict there will be a lot of banter between Harris and Walz to minimize having to answer questions, and of the questions asked, half of them will be to Walz. All that should limit Harris's answering of "questions" to maybe 25% of what it would have been if she had just shown up on her own and shown she could do this on her own. However, it could backfire on her too by making her look weak. It certainly isn't a show of strength to bring along someone for help in her first interview after putting it off for so long. It just underscores the fact that she doesn't feel she's up to it.

I should be? They only happen when the woman is about to die? How do you know that? Wait they are emergencies? I thought doctors were incapable of determining what an emergency is.

Becauae I'm certainly for allowing abortions for emergencies. But I've been told numerous times that doctors can't determine what an emergency is.

Let's see. Ted Bundy is running for office. Bad.

Joe schmo is running for office and suppoerts Jeffery Dahmer phones out actively killing and eating people. Bad too.

But Joe Schmo isn't actually doing the killing and eating so I'll vote for him cause at least he's not Ted Bundy.

That's your position?
