  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi everyone. I am new to thesee forums. I am taking a look around. Briefly, I am in search of a KJV 1611 Study Bible. Not Scofield, but maybe something from Holman. I would like the study notes to be influenced/inspired by God rather than influenced by Rothschilds or Jesuits.

Additionally, I am also on the lookout for a KJV Study Bible without the Thees and Thous type old English you find in the 1611 KJV. I think that I saw something that came out around 1016, but for the New Testament only. I've been doing some digging around of some other versions translated from the Textus Receptus as well. I am kind of open on this if it is from the Textus Receptus.

By the grace of GOD and by his grace have i been in the KJV bible daily for hours for over eighteen years .
You dont need all the footnotes my friend . not at all . IT will come together in time
and boy will it feed the soul . Makes one wise indeed unto salvation through faith in JESUS the CHRIST .
But beware for many decievers do abound in and specially in these last hours .
And have long preached another jesus , another gospel , by means of another love that is of the world , NOT GOD
and has transformed from within the image of GOD and HIS CHRIST into another image
that they all think is THE LOVE OF GOD and CHRIST .
My advice . STAY well dug in that bible my friend . Well dug . love and enjoy it , read it with and to others
and pray with them . Be encouraged my friend .

Thanks for the warm welcomes and suggestions. It gives me encouragement and I will be researching your suggestions.

I currently have a Lutheran KJV from 1976 that claims to be the same text as the 1611. That's cool. I just got it too. I had been reading the NKJV for some time before being introduced to the history of the Bible.

You could buy a regular KJV 1611 Bible, and use an online Bible study website such as Gotquestions.org. Though, which denomination are you?

Also, welcome brother.

One more thing @AstralHammer , download an AI, or use an AI to explain complex verses. I am not sure what your opinion is on artificial intelligence, but if you have a semi-favorable view on AI, I'd say use it, but also use discernment. Most of my devotionals here are made 80% with AI (written by software), and 20% my life experiences (written by myself).

Hello @AstralHammer, the following KJV Study Bible is the one that I own. I believe that it has some helpful study notes, just FYI. Also, I own an electronic version of it as part of my Logos Bible software.

WELCOME TO CF

God bless you!! (Numbers 6:24-26)

p.s. - I think that you have to go to the NKJV to get rid of the "Thees/Thous" (the Numbers passage above is in the NKJV, just FYI).

...I am in search of a KJV 1611 Study Bible.
I have opened up myself to the history of the Bible, in particular, the Bible being translated from the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts that form the Textus Receptus. Going this route has opened me up to the search of a Geneva 1560 or KJV 1611 study Bible if one such has been printed. I know that the Geneva 1560 is loaded with notes from the people who printed it.
I have been reading a MacArtur NKJV study Bible for years and I like the study notes that come with it.
I am interested in picking up a Strong’s concordance as well as an 1828 Webster’s dictionary to help me really dive in.
Ideally, I would like a study Bible with the Geneva 1560 and/or KJV 1611 unaltered. I do not think such a study Bible has been printed. I am leaning towards a facsimile of each, especially since I would like to see all the notes included those version along with the pictures and charts. Fascinating stuff.
Additionally, I am also on the lookout for a KJV Study Bible without the Thees and Thous type old English you find in the 1611 KJV....if it is from the Textus Receptus.
This is more for my teenager.
I think that I saw something that came out around 1016, but for the New Testament only.
I meant to say 2016 here.

I definitely have opinions about AI. I am distrusting. And I am a programmer. Hahaha.

It may not check your boxes, but I’ve been using the Reformation Heritage KJV Study Bible.
Thank you. I am actively checking this out to see how it holds up against my checkboxes and the 1611 KJV or 1560 Geneva.

I do like online and computer tools. But I am looking for physical copies. Maybe it's my age.

Denomination: I attended Baptist churches growing up. I grew up. Strayed very from the Lord and, by His grace and mercy, He turned me back around. I do not have a church denomination and, at this time, I do not think I will personally have one to be firmly planted in. I want nothing more than to be firmly planted in the Lord Jesus Christ as my foundation, my rock, my salvation, hope, my everything. I have nothing against Baptist churches, or others, as long as they are true to God and His word without any deviation. At the end of the day, believers are of one church under Jesus regardless of denomination.

Nelson has defintely been in my crosshairs. I think it is time I research Thomas Nelson as there could be a 1611 KJV out there as a THOMAS NELSON study Bible. Thanks.

Yeah, physical copies would work better. And hey, we are all one in Jesus Christ.

Ooh, what type of programming language do you use, and what do you use programming for? :)

And yes, I see your point on why one would be distrusting on AI. Sometimes, AI could be trained on bad data, or have inherent biases.

And yes, this Fruit of the Spirit devotional was made with over 2/3 with AI except for the verses, and last three paragraphs:

That is good. So, you make websites for companies? I have heard of those three languages. For myself, I used a bit of Python for a class 5 years ago.
