  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What about this Peace Plan?

You already gave your opinion on that plan.

I’m looking for other people’s opinion on it.
And here I thought a question mark posted as a reply to a post meant a lack of understanding. It must be your general non-understanding of the situation that lead me astray.

You might get a ceasefire if…
1. Neutral UN Blue Helmets
2. Belarus is banned from nato.

You might get Russia to pull out some troops if…
1. Formal ownership of Crimea
2. Georgia is banned from nato.
3. Kazakhstan is banned from nato.
Opinions please

It's totally divorced from reality, biased towards Russia and is about as plausible as Donald Trump making it through a rally without telling a lie.
1. Russia could buy Crimea,
or pay rent.

2. EU membership for Ukraine

John Oliver and his team of writers
cover extremely difficult and complex subjects.

Did they do a Ukraine episode?

Do they have a peace plan?
Why don't you do your own youtube search and find out.

Can’t seem to find any Ukraine episode.

At least the Onion is willing to admit the risks of continuing the war.

1. The Draft

2. Nuclear war

For the US? Neither feasible or likely.

2. Nuclear war

One side keeps making nuclear threats. But, that's the side that also conducted an illegal invasion and occupation of it's neighbour(s).

Here's a peace plan for you - Ukraine trades what it's captured of Kursk for the territory Russia has occupied since 2014. Russia also gets to pay reparations.

Tell me your prompt doesn’t cover what YouTube is without saying it doesn’t cover what YouTube is.
Every episode of Last week tonight
has a main subject he talks about for most of the episode.

Each episode has a 20 minute subject.

There is no Ukraine episode.

There should have been one after 2022,
but no.

Last Week Tonight has covered Ukraine. Four times. Specifically:

Season 09 Episode 02, secondary segment
Season 09 Episode 03, secondary segment
Season 09 Episode 07, secondary segment
Season 09 Episode 26, secondary segment

They've also covered the 2014 Russian occupation of Crimea, the 2014-2015 invasions of parts of Ukraine by pro-Russian "separatists", Vladimir Putin/Russia-US relations, and various segments on the Trump-Ukraine scandal.

The Onion is an online newspaper (now available in print). The Onion News Network is shut down. I frankly dare you to find content in The Onion warning of the risks of "continuing the war". (Keep the old The Onion motto in mind.)
