Kamala Harris has pulled in $81 million in donations after Biden exited the race on Sunday, setting a new national record, her campaign announced Monday.

The donations add up to the highest amount raised by one candidate within a 24-hour period and include funds from more than 888,000 grassroots donors, 60% of whom were identified as first-time donors in the 2024 cycle, according to a statement released by her campaign.....

The total pulled in by Harris’ team adds to the $240 million already amassed by Democrats so far this election cycle, her campaign added.

Wow, $81M? This is awesome. For reference, 81 million dollars is roughly the cost of a Boeing 737-700 series passenger jet, a state-of-the-art aircraft, introduced in 1993. In theory, Harris' team could build and launch a high-tech satellite to orbit the moon, as the Chandrayaan-3 orbiter launched in 2023 from India to the moon had a total cost of $74M. If anyone on this subforum seriously believes that electing Trump to POTUS would give rise to a dictatorship in the USA, then I believe that you are agreeing with the same rhetoric from media talking heads, media influencers, and Democratic Party politicians which probably motivated the young man who came very close to assassinating Donald Trump. At this point, there's zero indication that Crooks had any political motivation. In the period leading up to the shooting, he was researching various high-profile figures and their upcoming public appearances. Trump just happened to be convenient in that he was having a rally an hour away.

I apologize for going off topic of this thread. But do the liberals on this forum really and truly believe that a Donald Trump presidency in 2025 would actually and honestly BE A dictatorship?

He's given many indications that he would try. Would he succeed? Probably not. But I'm not into tempting fate.

I have to wonder why, after more than 7 days after July 13th, the official investigators have revealed relatively little personal information and personal motivation for Crooks. What are the chances that a 20 year old young man had extremely little, if any, social media profile?. How come it doesn't take long for relevant personal motivation for other criminal shooters in the news to be released, but with Crooks??? Well, we are still waiting. It probably takes weeks, or even months for criminal investigations. For myself, I do not use social media except for this forum, so one could say I have a low paper trail as well, but I do not do crimes.

I watch police videos (Code Blue Cam), and it saddens me to see people get released on $500 bonds, only to commit the same crimes again and again instead of being put in jail for a long time. It would be nice to see if this kid had a criminal record, and if he was released on a small bond in the past, but I do not follow this dark news that much. Then, we could potentially figure out if this guy should have been in jail ages ago.

I first thought of why do many Liberal/Progressive protests or independent protests for Liberal/Progressive issues turn bad? My feeling is that the people who are breaking the rules of peaceful protest are not members of the DNC, or the other organizations that promote DNC issues. There are opportunists. The first organized group I'm thinking of is Anarchists who want zero government. The second group of people I am thinking of is people who just want to destroy,vandalize, and loot stuff.

The difference that I am highlighting is that the leader of the RNC encouraged his protest group to rush the capital making there crime endorsed by the party.
