A lot of people avoid doing research for themselves. It's amazing what the media gets away with.
Help me out. You seem to think her endorsement means something. Who is she and what does she do?

I have a friend who is a trained research librarian. He complains about the number of people who think 5 minutes on Google is the same as dedicated detailed reresearch.
Or never understanding, accepting, remembering, or reading information that contradicts a view

I think she works in an industry that we are not allowed to mention or spell. In particular she has a page on the web site for independent operators that is initialed "O F".

I am pleased that Amber Rose did the research for herself as well and actually went out to talk face to face with real people who are voting for Donald Trump. If she can change her mind about Trump and MAGA, then I believe that anyone can do so.

I did not know who she was, but I learned she's very popular: 3.6 million followers on X.

CNN’s Van Jones calls Black model’s speech at RNC ‘most dangerous’ for Democrats

CNN senior political commentator Van Jones warned that TV personality and model Amber Rose’s address to the Republican National Convention in support of former President Trump was the "most dangerous speech" for the Democratic Party.

Well that explains why Trump might be interested in her endorsement but I’m still trying to figure out why her speech could be so important to our conservative Christian friends here at CF. Hoping one of them can better explain her endorsement and what it means to them.

I didn't know who Amber Rose was either. So I took 5 seconds to click on the link in the OP.

Amber Rose wears a lot of hats: former reality television star, rapper, model, entrepreneur, and now, Republican National Convention speaker.
Then I thought to myself, self, why would anyone care what Amber Rose has to say? So I read a bit further and found this analysis from a CNN commentator:

"She is describing the experience a lot of people have, feeling that maybe if you're around too many liberals, you might get criticized too much, and you might not be able to speak your mind. And she spoke to it really well. And she’s way more famous than any of us up here. I’m going to tell you that — way more famous. And so to the extent that these guys are trying to bust up our coalition, that was a bunker buster right there."

My honest reaction? Meh.

The Right has a long history of indiscriminately fawning over any celebrity who'd give them the time of day. It's particularly bad in religious circles when folks convert to Christianity.

Van Jones, a long time CNN Commentator, understands the importance of someone like Amber Rose endorsing Donald Trump.

You might call it fawning if you wish, but does that mean that it is all right with you when the liberals have been fawning over and with the Hollywood crowd who support liberal politicians and left-wing policies?

It's definitely fawning.

Oh, there's plenty of celebrity worship on the left, too, but IME, it's not quite the same. The Left likes celebrity, and scales their fawning with the amount of fame a person enjoys. On the Right, it's more like they like having somebody pay attention to them, and once somebody starts making gestures towards conservatism, they'll be automatically accepted into the fold and promoted as a legitimizing force regardless of how significant or famous they are. For example, nobody on the Right would give two hoots about the guitarist from Korn, but once he converted to Christianity, he became something of a favorite son.

I don't like either one, but the left's version of it comes off as less pathetic and needy.

Sometimes I see a post and wish I could screen cap a post, go back in time, and show it to the board.

Conservatives lifting up the political opinion of Amber Rose is one of those times.

What is your opinion about Van Jones' take on Amber Rose's endorsement of Donald Trump?

I don't generally put a lot of stock in what Van Jones says. She'd hardly be the first black celebrity to get on the MAGA train - he was hanging out with Kanye for a while.

I think it’s like the scene where Dr. Evil tries to prove he’s hip by doing the Macarena to impress his son despite the fact that it had been a solid 4-5 years since anybody cared about anything having to do with the Macarena.

Taylor Swift getting up and saying she supports Trump? Now that’s a problem for Democrats. Amber Rose…? Not so much. A former Video Vixen who was married to a rapper people kind of remember who sort of hung out with somebody who’s now a social pariah and known crackpot is not the big get they think it is.

Honestly, it reeks of “but she is a black! Now we have the blacks because that black right there likes him!” detached relevancy pandering.

I chose to post it because her speech resonated with me. My preconceived ideas on the press, politicians, and government bureaucrats were thrown out the window once I actually did some research and had some serious interactions. The same kind of preconceptions she had. It can be very difficult to tell who works for themselves or who works for the people. My first impressions of Trump were poor, I thought he was too crude and too much of a braggart to make a good president so I voted for someone else. But I didn't realize just how much of an outsider he was and how willing he was to take on the establishment. We desperately need a person to take on government corruption.

Then I misunderstood you on the tattoos on the forehead comment.

Just watch a few programs of What's My Line from the 1950's, 1960's to see how crude we have become. Look at the beautiful handwriting of many of the contestants.
