Do you plan to post a similar poll pertaining to Trump's debate performance?
I almost put a note in the OP saying that I would appreciate if someone else would do so.
What would be listed in that poll?

A seasoned, studied, and prepared debate professional who answers all questions topically in a succinct and concise manner?
Trump fidgeting in exasperation his microphone is turned off?
Trump interrupting loudly to overcome the turned-off microphone?
Great for an octogenarian but with occasional digressions into matters irrelevant to the question asked.
Trump boasting and not addressing the question asked?
"Dark Trump" arises and he reveals himself to be more narcissistic than anyone (ally or foe) ever thought?

Or how about a poll pertaining to the moderators? Will they...

Frequently turn off the candidates' respective microphones any time they break the agreed-upon rules?
Favor one candidate over another and cut off his microphone mid-answer more than they do with the other candidate?
Favor one candidate over another by asking simple and simplistic questions of one candidate and baiting or overly-complex questions of the other?
Assert opinion from the moderator's point of view?
Assert those opinions as fact instead of opinion?

I have heard rumors that there will be on the spot fact checking. I don't imagine that will go over very well with anyone who gets fact checked - or what that would actually entail.

All fine choices. Maybe a little late for tonight's debate, but maybe for the next one.

Where the expectations about Biden fall neatly along a single axis of competence, like your examples show, I think we need two axes for Trump. Competence and Belligerence/Demeanor.

The first five minutes were catastrophic for Biden. For people with short attention spans, that may be enough.

It was almost astonishing the number of questions that Trump completely whiffed on. Half his replies seemed to start with, "Just to go back to..." But will it matter?

On both sides, I don't know if it was a sign of overpreparation or what, but both of them would glancingly refer to something as though everyone in the audience would know all about it. 12 year old girl, Biden bad! Three dead soldiers, Trump bad!

Biden missed several tricks when he could have just hammered Trump. I think the fentanyl question, which was about PEOPLE CURRENTLY STRUGGLING WITH ADDICTION, Trump never addressed it. The closest he got was all just border stuff. Unfortunately, Biden largely followed that lead, when instead, he could have turned on the baby blues and the empathy and talked about his son's struggles with addiction that led him into bad life choices and serious criminal activity, and discussed efforts to help addicted people find treatment.

Another missed opportunity was when Trump segued from Jan 6 to BLM riots in Portland and.... lots of other places. Minneapolis! Biden could have said "Criticize local law enforcement and the DOJ all you want, but Jan 6, Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis... all of this happened under your administration. I don't know why you're trying to pin it on me. You were the President. What did you do? You sat there watching the TV.

Oh oh oh. Trump bragging about winning the golf championships at his own clubs.

Sadly, Biden responds with his golf handicap from 10 years ago, instead of saying "Donald, you pay their salaries; of course, you get the trophy. The fact that you think that's real is just... sad."

Tonights debate has made me positive that Biden can't make it to November.

He had 8 days of nothing but rest and debate prep and he started out mumbling, and got worse the longer the debate went on.

You could tell it exhausted him

This is elder abuse... Biden needs to be in a rest home, not pretending to be president. I don't think he's running the country, and this debate has only made this idea far more solidified.

No sitting President in history has ever had the level of debate prep for a debate before that Biden has had, 8 days to be fully rested and the answers to the questions memorized and he couldn't get through 90 minutes looking sharp enough to make me think he's running the country.

If he was, he wouldn't have needed 8 days to memorize it. He would have already known his policy platform.

The Democrats really need to start caring about the country. For real... This is beyond ridiculous now.

I actually thought Biden did better than expected. But I wasn’t expecting much. Trump had no specifics, everything was the greatest ever, the best ever, the lowest taxes ever, etc…

We need to know who has been making all of these awful decisions since 2021. If it has all been because Mr. Biden has dementia and is incapable, his cabinet has committed a crime by not invoking the 25th. And if it is all someone's plot to abuse him and make the decisions, then they (it could be multiple people) have also committed several crimes. People are angry over what has happened these past few years and have every right to that anger... but I don't think Mr. Biden is the correct target of that anger. Something else is going on here and it is not good.
