CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Honestly, that could’ve been a smart thing for him to get in on a while ago. Upstate NY has (or had) pretty favorable conditions for mining and, as such, wound up with several industrial-scale mining operations. A savvy developer like Trump could’ve got in it earlier, before the moratorium.
I stumbled across this, which is maybe the only good excuse for mining I’ve seen.

I'm betting convicted felon Trump does not understand how bitcoin is mined. Wanting it to be "made in the USA" makes no sense at all in addition to having nothing to do with "energy dominance."

If people would look into crypto many of the miners are going green and that's smart business by minimizing the cost of energy. Blockchain technology is the future and with it comes coins. EVs are dirty cars if you consider what it takes to build one but I'm all for new technology because they'll improve it as time goes on.

and in the world .
many act and believe that somehow bitcion and etc cannot and will not be controlled . OH but it be the same ideal .
the ideal is to get us all away from cash and into digital .
I dont think folks realize its the same agenda infiltrated into both camps either .
Not to mention its all traceable and trackable and can be controlled and will be controlled by the same elites .
