He confirms it, sometimes in a humorous way.

A while back I was having a day where I felt I was being attacked in every possible way - physically, mentally, and spiritually. This had been going on for some time but this day I was feeling that it was all just too much to bear.

I was praying and just had to cry out to Him, "Lord I can't take it anymore!"

His reply? "Yes you can."

I thought, "Yes I can?"

Silence.

Well I felt pretty certain it was Him, because I knew many Scripture verses that backed up the assertion. Also I had been reading a wonderful book by Joni Earekson Tada declaring the same.

So I heaved a big sigh and declared, "Yes I can, because You say so." So I trudged on.

A week or maybe two weeks later I awoke on Sunday morning and I just felt too sick physically to go to Church that day (I walk to Church). I prayed about it and felt a strong conviction to get up and go. So I did.

And of course the sermon was all about suffering and how God uses it for our benefit and for those He tasks for us to witness to - both the believer and the seeker.

So I figured ok that's it. But God just HAD to put a cherry on top. I was walking up the steps to exit the sanctuary and looked up at the back wall at the huge video screen. On it was a single sentence, saying in essence:

"Jesus says, I can take it."

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry!

So ever since then whenever I feel overwhemed I just repeat, "Jesus says, I can take it!" Isn't God awesome? Would love to hear your stories of how God speaks to you!

God bless!

I was at work many years ago writing a computer program when I hit a dead end. I tried everything I could think of to solve the problem, but nothing worked. I was convinced that the language had no feature to solve my problem. But the problem had to be solved.

In desperation, I turned to God for help. The moment I asked for help, a single letter came to my mind. After wrestling with the concept that God might give me only one letter at a time, I decided to go with it. So I typed in the letter. Then He gave me another letter. I typed it in. After several more letters, words started coming to mind. After that, full sentences of code.

As I was typing the code, I began to see the direction it was going. I will never forget my reaction. Though God had led me down this road, I was convinced that what I was typying would never solve my problem. I thought to myself something on the order of, "There is no way in the world this approach will ever work!" By this point, I could clearly see the final steps needed to finish the approach God started by giving me just one letter, so I finished it, saved it, and ran the program.

I looked at the results, and to my amazement, it produced exactly what I needed. "There is no way this is possible", I thought to myself. I looked back through the code, evaluating the intermediate output, trying to figure out how it got the results I needed. When I figured out how it was working, I realized that this was probably the only way possible to solve the problem with this language. I was shocked, amazed, and grateful.

This wasn't a computer program with any long-term value, but it was important to me at the time. And because of that, it was important to God. And He used the experience to give me success and to teach me a few lessons. Perhaps the most important lesson was that He does communicate with me. Prayer is a two-way conversation, not just one-way. When we go to Him for wisdom, He gives it... liberally, and without criticism (James 1:5). All we have to do is trust Him and walk in the path He lights (Proverbs 3:5-6).

God works in mysterious ways (and surprising, too!). I have been surprised many times in my life how God communicated to me. But mostly through His word and my conscience. However, I remember 2 times when He just literally spoke words into my mind just like I was hearing someone next to me speaking (but I knew it to be God, and one of those times there was no one nearby). Those were at times when I needed correction because I was going headlong down the wrong path.

I was depressed and I cried to God that please Father let me feel your love. Next day a drunken guy I knew a little needed a lift. He knew I am a beliver and started t cry and asked why you help a guy like me.

After dropping him off I just realized God had answered me. You will not just receive love but become a conduit of Gods love.

Amen! Isn't it the greatest gift to be a broken vessel to be used as His Ambassador? His plan is sheer brilliance.
