I have also heard the structure and importance of the case criticized. I've got no problem with that. I don't know what Gowdy said, was it about jury selection? Did he confirm Dershowitz's implausible claim that Trump's attorneys had no say in jury selection?
At what point in the video did he say "Trump's attorneys had no say in jury selection"? They did have no say in the jury pool because a change of venue was denied by the judge. Therefore the judge did select the jury pool limiting the ability for Trump to get an impartial jury. The entire jury pool was hand selected for that reason by the crooked judge.

Nah Dershowitz outright lied about something every novice would pick up on and say "ah ha!" just for kicks ;)
We both know it is far easier for a liberal to dodge and divert rather than actually honestly deal with facts!

I offered no opinion. I offered documented proof that Trump's legal team had a say in jury selection.
You are correct they did get to choose from a tainted pool chosen by the judge.

Then you should have known what I said was based on what Blanche said.
Yup. And I commented on that.

I don't know what the process is aside from my experience in being summoned for jury duty. (Which I always get out of due to my brain issues. To every cloud there's a silver lining haha).

How do you know how it works?
In general. I know that neither judges nor any attorneys (prosecutors or defense) choose the jury pool. They do, on the other hand, select the jury for their specific trial from that pool in a process called voie dire.

And how do you know how it works?
Research.

I'm not sure about that. But I think Dershowitz most likely knows what he's talking about.
I'm certain he does. And I'm just as certain he knows exactly how voie dire works.

Judges and prosecutors do not hand pick juries. Blanche himself wrote about how they planned to question prospective jurors, a process he fully participated in.

We already covered that. Blanche most definitely was able/allowed to choose 12 Trump haters out of the room full of Trump haters.
You've yet to demonstrate that there wasn't a single unbiased potential juror in the jury pool. I await your attempt.

He knows a way lot more than I ever will about how those things work. And I think it's highly unlikely that a novice can out knowledge him. So obviously there's a wording issue involved.

Okay! :D
I know full well how experienced Dershowitz is in jury trials. That's how I know he lied about this one.

-- A2SG, but I'm sure he'll try to argue that, if he gets the job of defending Trump in his appeal...which I bet he's angling for...

The very best lawyers will often leave a cushy job to work on cases that they want to work on.
Unless #3 didn’t first resign his cushy job, (at which point I’d come over to your side).
Of course he had to resign to go for the downgrade. Nothing to see here just a stupid career move, no get Trump motive here.

What makes you think they ALL had a bias against Trump? What do you base that conclusion on? A guess?

It can't be based on the facts, because you know absolutely nothing about any single juror.
There is information on line about each juror. what they do for a living what news sources they use and the like. Look for it.

Keep holding onto that even though it's highly unlikely and doesn't make any sense.
What doesn't make sense? It's from Trump's very own lead counsel.

The judge had no hand whatsoever on choosing the jury pool.

No, I disagree. Trying to use the government to steer the society always ends badly. Always.
Wow do we agree on something here? Government trying to steer as related to Roe, Muti-colored lights on the White House, transgendered events at the White House. Porn in school libraries, supporting men in women's bathrooms and sports, telling kids they can choose their sex. Yes I agree with you it always end badly!

This would make for an interesting and short-lived appeal, though.

Yeah by asking me what I said was based on when you should've known it was based on Blanche's statements.

Research.
A brief visit to the internet where you picked up that nifty term.
I'm certain he does. And I'm just as certain he knows exactly how voie dire works.
Oh look there it is again.
Judges and prosecutors do not hand pick juries. Blanche himself wrote about how they planned to question prospective jurors, a process he fully participated in.
Based on no real knowledge.
You've yet to demonstrate that there wasn't a single unbiased potential juror in the jury pool. I await your attempt.
That's how lawyer Blanche who was there described it. So that's what I'm going with.
I know full well how experienced Dershowitz is in jury trials. That's how I know he lied about this one.
Right... it's just him who doesn't know it

I provided documented proof that Dershowitz lied earlier. Did you miss it?

-- A2SG, it wasn't that long ago....
You may have thought you did but you can't document something that did not happen.

I doubt it was just for kicks. My guess is he's looking to be hired to defend Trump.

Again.

Roe was extending a right, Dobbs axed it.
Presidents are allowed to decorate the White House in any manner they so desire.

Since the turn of the century LGBTQIA+ folk have won in the Court system and several SCOTUS decisions have made it clear that the government cannot unduly burden them, (making LGBTQIA+ full fledged citizens, with all of the rights and privileges attached thereto).

That a minority of folks don’t wish this to have happened and want to fight about it is “normal”, but they’re likely to lose since, in this case, the society informed and made the government change to accommodate society’s wishes, not the other way around.

Because everybody in New York thinks Trump is a jerk? But that doesn't necessarily bias a Jury. A fair minded person can evaluate the evidence fairly even though he may think the defendant is a jerk.

I'm waiting for Elon Musk and his $210 billion dollars to get in on it. That will be hilarious.

And yet, in the State he currently resides, the judge there indefinitely postponed the documents trial.
Where’s the complaints that Trump isn’t getting his day in court there, since he’s sooo “innocent“ and all.
