No seriously, that thing that basically all conservatives said would happen when liberals passed laws to allow men into women's only spaces like restrooms and locker rooms and showers....keeps happening in these establishments that have allowed men into women's spaces.

"It’s a man, but he says he identifies as a woman, and he won’t leave the restroom," the 911 caller told an emergency dispatcher. "But he is just walking around showing us his — and he won’t leave."

I recall posters saying this wouldn't be a problem because "what kind of man is going to claim to be a woman just to use the women's restroom?" Fortunately, there's a picture of the deviant for those who posted such things in the past.

I know that some people here will doubt it....but I've even seen posters suggest this is the problem of the old lady who called 911 and the 17yo girl who felt "uncomfortable" with this man in the women's locker room. Before anyone suggests that this man isn't supposed to be in the women's locker room....note that he did say the magic words "I identify as a woman" so according to policy, both of Planet Fitness and this administration, he should be able to use the women's locker room.

I think if they allowed or didn’t allow people to use the locker room associated with their declared gender, this person still would have found a reason to go into the women’s locker room to do what he did. I don’t think a policy that said “people must go to the locker room that is associated with their physiological birth gender” would have made him say “oh man, I can’t go in there.”

I don’t see how you arrive at that conclusion.

and there is no law I’m aware of that would restrict a cis gender woman from being naked in a woman’s locker room, certainly not indecent exposure as this man was charged with. Same with a man in the men’s locker room. That not indecent exposure, if he harassed someone they could sign a warrant for harassment.

You really think that a woman can get totally naked in a locker room, walk around said locker room naked while being belligerent, and cap it off by asking a 17 year old to shower with them and it’s totally ok as long as the people she is doing it in front of and towards other cis women?

What do you think women do in bathrooms and locker rooms…?

I didn’t say that was okay. I said it’s not indecent exposure. It may be harassment and disorderly conduct but being naked in a locker room in front of people of the same sex is not a crime.

Sarcasm aside, as a referenced earlier, what makes this subject so tricky is the fact that, in essence, we could have two people who are in the same situation and same mindset, but get perceived differently based on how "passable" they are.

Admittedly, I don't have a good answer to how we solve that.

At the end of the day
"Do you want penises in the womens facility, or breasts in the mens facility? Pick your poison" is the conundrum.

The people who would be outraged about male downstairs parts in the womens facility, would be equally outraged by the more convincing looking transwomen exposing the upstairs parts in mens facility.

People gotta change somewhere.


With the pass-ability aspect, people who look like Blaire White and Buck Angel (and I'd advise that people don't google image search those names for more pics unless you want an eyeful of something you weren't planning on seeing)

Aren't going to get any flack using the the bathroom of their preference (Blaire on the left was born male, Buck was born female...they called this picture "straight: with extra steps")


In fact, they'd probably get a lot of flack for using the other facility that actually matches their birth sex.


At the same time, there are others who don't "pass" as well, despite the fact that they're in the same mindset and psychological situation as these two.

And that brings up another caveat, which is that someone's intentions are judged based on how well the hormones worked to help them achieve the desired "look".

Some will say that Blaire is sincere about it because the hormones were obviously pretty successful in getting the desired look, but will assume that someone is "faking it to see naked girls" if they happen to still have the 5 o'clock shadow and broad shoulders and still look like a man.

The tough part is that for the people who want to abuse it, they are going to kinda look like the person who the hormones weren't all that successful for.


Again, I don't have a great answer for this situation lol.

So then what stopped him from raping the 17 year old girl? He was obviously there because he wanted sex and he even asked the 17 year old girl to rub lotion on him and shower with him. It’s completely obvious to everyone else in the thread that he was using the rules regarding transgenders being allowed to use the locker rooms to see naked women and try to have sex with them.
