  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

When you open the borders with the good intention to help the oppressed, it’s to be expected that some of those coming in will be rapist, sex and drug dealers, criminals and murders and terrorist. Biden doesn’t even acknowledge this truth. He accepts zero responsibility for it. But what does he care, it’s not his children being raped and murdered..
The border is not open. Once you admit the truth, the straw man fallacy disappears.

Are your children being raped and murdered? In the last three years, how many children have been raped and murdered by an open border for those who walk through it without any consequences? It is time for you to support your outlandish claims so we know the truth.

It is almost like some are afraid of unknowing an unseeing strangers who are doing unknown and undiscovered crimes....

The fear of the dark is at a fevered pitch.

Where is Bidens communists of China?

Is this supposed to mean something? It looks like a failed attempt at a retort due to seeing flags from the old south aligning with flags from Nazi Germany.

Trump says there will be bloodbaths if he's not reelected.
Trump says there will be a ‘bloodbath’ if he loses the election

1. Why would there be bloodbaths if he loses?
2. Is this a threat?
3. Do republican strategists think these comments ts are going to WIN OVER or turn OFF independents?
4. Does what Trump said even make sense in complete context or is this whole topic pointless?

This has been said on the left a bunch and this seems a bit hyperbolic coming from our side for sure. But from Trump it sounds like nonsense. you'll have e elections but Republicans won't do well because your party has become too vindictive under trump and not soing anything to improve the lives of Americans other than giving tax cuts and that's it.

Now, to be fair, Trumps cognitive decline has his speech and ideas sounding like a word salad. The bloodbath comment came on the heels of talking about a tariff on Chinese made cars..and then was immediately followed by this election comment, according to the article I shared.

And, just in case his racist was in doubt, he clarified it...

Calling people "not people" is pretty much textbook racism.

It's strange that a person can make comments ts like this and people will cheer. Maybe not strange. Maybe deplorable

Trump was speaking about China building automotive plants in Mexico after American plants closed.

He said that if he's elected he's putting the Chinese president on notice that he will put a 100% tariff on Chinese cars that are manufactured in Mexico.

Then He added that's only if he's elected. He said if he's not elected it'll be a bloodbath...

As we see in the dictionary, the definition of bloodbath is an economic disaster.

So here we see Trump predicting heavy tariffs on China in the auto industry if he's elected, or saying we face economic disaster ("bloodbath") if he's not elected ( because of a continuation of Bidens policies).

An example of the use of the word:

Huh. I can honestly say I have NEVER in my life heard of an economic bloodbath: at least not to the level of finding it in Websters.

Huh.

It's common - did you watch the CNN clip I showed?

They used the term in that clip. It's from 4 years ago ...

I just saw it live, and then went and looked it up, here's the quote

"“Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole – that’s gonna be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That’ll be the least of it.”

I honestly don't know I haven't been following the auto industry lately...

China has the ability to flood the US market with cheap electric cars (lookup the car company "BYD"). Many analysts predict such a move would greatly undermine the US auto makers. I suspect Trump was referring to that threat.

That is exactly what he said. Trump is the king of ambiguity, and he purposefully makes these remarks so those against him see one thing and his supporters apologize for him by pointing out the other side of the ambiguous statements. It is tiresome having to deal with such a loathing and vengeful person.

Our current administration permits and supports slavery by their border policies. It is not blasphemy to acknowledge that our rights come from God, that is in our founding document and what binds Americans together. Karl Marx said: 'Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the sentiment of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people. ' 'The foundation of religious criticism is: Man makes religion, religion does not make man." The neo-Marxist attacks on those who believe in and trust in God are real whether you acknowledge it or not. Your use of the term "white Christian God" is disturbing.

Peace to you, I know you have the best interest of all as your motive. But , "Our current administration permits and supports slavery by their border policies." is simply a wild stretch of the imagination benefiting an extremist view.

"It is not blasphemy to acknowledge that our rights come from God, that is in our founding document and what binds Americans together. "
I agree. But it is blasphemy to say that someone like Trump and other right wingers are the only ones doing God's work and God is on their side.

"The neo-Marxist attacks on those who believe in and trust in God are real whether you acknowledge it or not."
Real or unreal they do not bother me because that dynamic has held since ancient times.

"Your use of the term "white Christian God" is disturbing.' Perhaps I should have said the image or concept of God held by many white Christians, that God fully supports all their political beliefs.

Of course Trump is not to blame for anything he says or does. At this point that fact is clear for all to see. He is the epitome of the victim, that is what his supporters think.

Do you know what ambiguous means? The blame is not on the reader, it is on the speaker.

How come the average Joe has read an English language dictionary and isn't at all confused then?
I guess you do not know the definition of ambiguous. :doubtful or uncertain especially from obscurity or indistinctness

Trump's talk is ambiguous, and the reason you see it like the average rightist Joe is due to bias. You read what you want.

How is the country going to suffer a bloodbath because of cars made in Mexico? Can you explain that the bloodbath will be?
