The Pope says that we should bless people who are unrepentant in this "error" of "shameless acts". He's just attempting to make gay marriage palatable for the Church parishioners.

Amen brother. We all receive a penalty for our errors, and homosexual acts are grave errors.

I don't think he's referring to the blessing of the lifestyle, but rather to bless them so they move away from the lifestyle.

It is an individual act per the priest. With intent to bring them home rather than accept the lifestyle but offer them a different one.

Well there's what the document actually says versus the papal conspiracy to legalize sodomy and bring forth the great apostasy. . .

But yeah I think a lot of the disagreement comes down to a different understanding of what the document teaches.

The statute in the ceremony was not an idol. I am surpised to find Catholics accusing other Catholics in that ceremony as being idolaters without even attempting to understand the culture and the context of the ceremony. Rash-judgment is a sin, lest we forget.

I tend to agree that he should be disciplined for it. To me it appears to be a bad faith stunt to give the impression that homosexual unions are being legitimized, and it is not within the spirit of the document.
