They're Gen X and Millennials. I don't know why they have that rule anyway. I'm continually amazed by that.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Perhaps it's been on the books for a long time.
It's certainly weird to me considering how long I wore my hair as a schoolboy back in the 70s.

I remember the company I worked for had a no beard policy, but they were letting Muslim employees wear a beard. And my thought was the most fair thing to do was let all employees wear a beard, especially since I wanted to wear a beard myself. Then a newer company bought them out and they didn't have a no beard policy. And as far as I've seen the no beard policy just doesn't exist within the industry any longer, rather than exceptions being made.

A long-haired hippie teaching in the pulpit is in direct contradiction to Scripture. 1 Corinthians 11:14 says, 'Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?'” wrote Domelle. “I don't know anything about this man, but I do know that to have long hair is a shame. It does not matter what he was going to teach, the fact that he blatantly disobeys God’s Word should have alerted anyone to his spiritual discernment and that he is to be disqualified to teach people.”

Such is fashion. We've had about a century of men's facial hair being shaven for the most part - perhaps the pendulum is swinging back toward beards, mustaches and sideburns!

Well I was in Walmart awhile back and this employee stocking the shelves had bright neon pink hair. "Back in my day"™ he not only would have been unemployable outside of a circus, he probably would have been committed to a psychiatric ward. But hey it's all good. I love everybody.

What is "long?" Even in Paul's time, the fashion of hair length for men varied from Jew to Greek to Roman. Inasmuch as what "nature" does with hair, nature itself appears to teach that Europeans and Asians, both male and female, should have long hair while Sub-Sahara Africans, male and female, should have short hair.

A hair rule specifically, but a strict dress code in particular. Heck, by in the latter 60s I attended a brand new high school with a bevy of brand new teachers in their early 20s. They were barely within conservative Oklahoma standards. The young women teachers, in particular, liked their short skirts.

I don't mean the cultural context. I just mean doesn't it seem like a silly reason.
Being rude to your boss; being terrible at your job; always being late; rude to customers....these are sensible reasons to get fired.
Hair too long.... I just can't get behind that.
