However ... there are some religions that do not believe genocide is wrong ... rather they are doing the will of their god.

Most do believe that genocide is wrong .... but not all.
Almost all of the time it is, and it is for us humans, etc.

Some other religions are severely misguided, etc.

God Bless.

I think it's funny when those who say that there are then never any moral absolutes ever, or say that morality is always subjective, etc, seek to then condemn a God for something like say "genocide", or something like that maybe, without considering all the very, very unique circumstances and situations that only one who is a God can be put in, etc.
Why do you find it funny to condemn when someone kills the innocent?

I find it funny when someone claims there are no moral absolutes, but won't apply that to God because they don't like the guy, etc.

I am truly touched by your morally superior care for all the so-called innocent though, etc.

God Bless.

Where did this original "inner sense of rightness" of the parent/families come from or start? Trial and failure?
Pretty much. We found what works and what doesn't. And this is a long dead thread....

Which part?
The answer implies both. It was couched in a manner that was obviously in agreement with the question and it's my opinion - I used the first person singular.

Well, my point is that if it's a subjective opinion then it can't always be right, etc.

True. Nobody said it could be. If two people have different opinions then at least one of them is wrong. But the reverse applies. Just because everyone agrees with something doesn't make it objectively true.

Well, no one ever agrees on absolutely everything, so...?

So it's all a world of subjective opinions only really, etc.

God Bless.

Pretty much. With the exceptions of facts. Such as 'there is a pen on my desk.' But all opinions are subjective. By definition.

Why do many of us (if not most) have a guilty conscience? Some may choose to ignore their guilty conscience (sense of wrong) but that is not to say they don't have one.
I can field that one as I don’t experience guilt. There are things that people do that lead to unnecessary bother and complications. Don’t do those things and you’ll be fine and the people around you will also be fine.

That’s about as straightforward as I can state it.

If you're never ever bothered by any kind of guilt at all, then I'm guessing you always do everything right, or are always right, etc?

And as for the other, I guess you could say that in general, or generally I guess, but the specifics are a bit more complicated.

God Bless.
