  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Like I said, it's socialism. Plain and simple. Check and see if you don't believe me.
No, it's not. You can't just declare anything you don't like to be "socialism".

Sure one can, if one doesn’t mind being “inaccurate”.

"Just In: Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has signed a law that will allow illegal immigrants to become police officers and sheriffs deputies. In Illinois American citizens will be arrested by illegals.

Once this takes effect, people who are actively breaking federal law will be arresting Americans if they break they law. This madness from the democrat party is absolutely out of control."

Is anyone actually ok with this?

... I guess that on a good day, I wouldn't mind if non-citizens are employed to help enforce law and order. But I would offer the suggestion that they prove their own personal belief in the idea of the "Rule of Law" before they're hitched up to the local posse.

Shouldn't that also apply to citizens?

I would assume it should apply to them as well ... it's a non-partisan proposition. ;)

Those are the ones who are retiring early, being fired, and rejected from the force. More "equity" needed.

Well well well. You risked it therefore it happened.

Based on the article, these weren't illegal immigrants, these were naturalized citizens who joined the military.

Therefore, it still doesn't substantiate nor support the misleading claim in the OP (which was attempting to portray a made-up scare scenario of a person sneaking across the boarder, finding their way to Illinois, and being handed a gun and a badge)
