Maybe you don't know that things can be regulated out of existence. Obama tried that with his, "They can build a coal fired power plant, but they'll just end up going bankrupt".Maybe you don't know that they're not banning stoves. Maybe you don't know that they are simply regulating energy outputs. Maybe you didn't know that that is effectively ensuring the design of new stoves does not include a constantly burning ignition flame. Maybe you didn't know how small a financial change that would be for the industry:
'In order to bring products into compliance with new and amended standards, it is estimated that the industry would incur total conversion costs of $183.4 million'. Federal Register :: Request Access
That's a ridiculously small amount.
Feel free to read the link. It's quite informative. It'll tell you everything you want to know. And, this is the point you should understand, it has absolutely nothing to do with socialism. Which is why you brought this up in the first place.
Gun ban advocates also caught onto that idea by proposing tax on ammunition of 10,000%. You can still buy it, but hardly anyone could afford to.
Maybe you didn't know, but I've been more than happy to inform you.
