How can He? He IS His will. He is not something other than Himself (as we are).
Look, friend. This is not really hard to figure out. While God’s instructions for the Israelites is God’s will, that does not mean that those instructions apply to Him. God cannot murder, but people can. God can take life as He chooses. God cannot steal, but people can. God owns all things because He created everything. So God cannot steal anything that He already owns.
In order for God to be the Law (i.e., the Law of Moses), it would mean that the Israelite did not need to keep the Law and or it would also suggest that God is the embodiment of many rules that do not apply to Him. In other words, if God is the Law, He would also have to be bound by those same exact laws to make such a statement. Yes, to keep His commands means we are to abide in His love, and presence (John 14:15, John 14:23), but that does not mean He is the embodiment of that Law as if it also applied to Him.
To put to you another way this is a false teaching because if a person thinks all they have to do is believe on Jesus or just abide in Him, then they do not have to worry about keeping God’s laws because He is the Law. This is the deception in such a teaching.
If God is the Law as per your defense of the Book of Mormon and not the Bible, then you need a Bible verse that shows that. No such teaching in the Bible even alludes to this at all. While God is the will behind the laws He gives, it does not mean He is the Law. God is more than the Law. God is love. God’s grace is contrary to Law, as well. It is by God’s grace that we are saved. So if God is just simply the Law, then there would be no grace as per how we first get saved and or how we can continue with God‘s forgiveness (1 John 1:9). So if God is law, then there is no grace or mercy. God’s grace teaches us to deny ungodliness and that we should live righteously and godly in this present world. The Chosen does not rebuke certain sins done by various characters on the show, and it makes Jesus out to be like an imperfect human being instead of the Eternal Word (GOD) who came down into the flesh of man.
If God is just the Law, we are condemned as sinners.
If Jesus is the Law, then no need to keep the Law, right?
The show does not show Jesus rebuking His followers for being drunk, etcetera.
They just believed on Him being the Law and they do not need to worry about keeping the Law.
This is deception.
