Again, the Mormon Jesus is not the God of the Bible.
I'm not interested in your side trip to try and discredit a tv show. It's no more a mormon show than Donny Osmond sings mormon songs.

Sorry, lies promoted in a TV show cannot help you to know the Bible. Folks need to wake up, and see what is really going on here.
The same applies to the religion which is an expert in misdirection. Of course, we must depend on scripture in order to discern what is of God's will and what is of man's.

How did you determine the accuracy of the review?
What reason would they have in lying about the show?
Are you saying that what they said was inaccurate and did not happen?
I can also confirm the info by looking for another source. But its not necessary.
I have seen clips of the show confirming some of the garbage they have described.
The show is an insult to Jesus and the Bible, but because people are biblically illiterate and they are not seeking to walk with God, they cannot see anything but pleasing their own flesh by watching this series that paints a wrong insulting picture of our Lord.
For example: It is greatly troubling that Jesus had messed up the sermon on the mount and He needed Matthew’ s help.
This shows that Jesus is not the spotless Lamb if He makes mistakes.

Hebrews 7:26
“For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; “

Luke 6:40
”The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.”

People who fall for this show are simply not aware of basic truths in the Bible.
Yet, God’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
A quote from the Book of Mormon should make this obvious that the show preaches another Jesus.
But you can eat off dumpsters if you like. I prefer eating only the words from the Bible.

While this world is sinful, God’s people are not to be sinful.
Oh we are still sinful, half our nature being of the flesh. The whole idea is to relinquish allegiance to the will of the flesh in favour of the will of the spirit which is God. To pass oneself off as perfected while still in the flesh is a lie.

Wow. You really believe this?

Look at this Mormon article (from the link description). They quote their Book of Mormon saying, “I am the Law…”

Yet, if you watched the Chosen, you know Jesus said, “I am the Law.”

But to connect the dots, please see this video here where you can watch Dallas Jenkins (the creator of the Chosen) talk about how he calls Mormons his brothers and sisters in Christ. He also talks about filming in A Mormon location that is sacred to the Mormons. This is said by Jenkins himself. Please watch the following video to see Jenkins say these things.

Not true. You don’t fully know your Bible. The Scriptures talk about how you can be perfected in this life.

1 John 2:5-6

“But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”

1 Peter 4:1-2

1 ”Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.”
2 Corinthians 7:1

“…let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

Even so, its still only a show, a drama! Its not to be taken as a lesson in theology.

By knowing perfection rather than the imperfection known as man or the adversary (same focus on self)

I'm interested in a show that promotes Jesus and God's will over man's. NOT in creating a new cold war with mormons or whoever. The real cold war is between the Kingdom and the world we have made in our own image. This show shows the change when people abandon self for God and people feel it.

Well, if the law follows the will of God, is it not His will, not man's or any other's?
It’s His will for us, but it does not mean God obeys the same laws we are given by Him.
For example, God commands all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30).
Yet, we know God does not repent in the same way like man does.

Numbers 23:19
”God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent:”

Man cannot take life as he pleases because that would be murder.
Yet, God can take life as He pleases because He is the giver and taker of life (Job 1:21).
Again, if you know your Bible, you would be aware of these things and simply see the show as false ten times over.
You would also investigate things to see if Dallas said things that make him chummy with Mormons. You can see him admitting to a lot of bad things that he is in league with actual Mormons. The majority of the show is owned by Mormons. Again, a simply search on the internet can confirm that. Don’t be internet search lazy. That is another form of laziness that I see among Christians today that is absolutely stunning and dumb to me. It takes merely seconds or minutes out of your life to investigate stuff.

See, this is your defense of loving the show rather than loving Scripture. So when others on this forum say that it’s just a show, your argument here proves them wrong. You believe in this show as if it was God’s Word but it is false and has poisoned your understanding of the Scriptures.

No, I said the show is merely a story about His followers and about the change in them. Nothing theological about it. My statements are from scripture in contradiction to your ideas.

It didnt come from the book of mormon! It wasnt taken from it. Fact...
First, I seen this YouTuber before and I disagree with him on another major teaching in the Bible that all believers should know and accept. So this is not shocking that this YouTuber’s spiritual discernment in understanding certain truths in the Bible is extremely lacking. Second, this YouTuber says on Matthew 5:17 as Jesus saying I come to fulfill the Law as a reference to Jesus saying, “I am the Law,“ but this is false. Matthew 5:17 is not saying the same thing as the phrase from the Book of Mormon. No verse in Scripture even alludes to this quote of Jesus saying He is the Law. This YouTuber is biblically illiterate because Matthew 5:17 (and the other verse he mentions) are not saying Jesus is the Law in any way shape or form. No Scripture even alludes to such a thing and it would be a contradiction in Scripture and God’s nature of giving the Israelites the Law that was for them and not for God Himself. Again, you and this person do not know what the Bible says fully on this topic. He is misquoting Scripture, and try to pull a fast one by throwing verses out really fast with the hope you will not check these verses for yourself. The character of Jesus on the Chosen says, “I am the Law of Moses.” And he says this is not the same quote in the Book of Mormon that says, ”I am the Law…”. But if you know your Bible, you would realize that Jesus quoted Old Testament Scripture and used half quotes or not exact quotes from the OT. So the fact that he quotes a part of the Book of Mormon only proves that Dallas Jenkins is being influenced by Mormons. He says they are his brothers and sisters in Christ. The show is owned mostly by Mormons. They filmed in a sacred place by Mormons. So this YouTuber is either ignorant or he is not being entlrely honest.

How can He? He IS His will. He is not something other than Himself (as we are).
Look, friend. This is not really hard to figure out. While God’s instructions for the Israelites is God’s will, that does not mean that those instructions apply to Him. God cannot murder, but people can. God can take life as He chooses. God cannot steal, but people can. God owns all things because He created everything. So God cannot steal anything that He already owns.

In order for God to be the Law (i.e., the Law of Moses), it would mean that the Israelite did not need to keep the Law and or it would also suggest that God is the embodiment of many rules that do not apply to Him. In other words, if God is the Law, He would also have to be bound by those same exact laws to make such a statement. Yes, to keep His commands means we are to abide in His love, and presence (John 14:15, John 14:23), but that does not mean He is the embodiment of that Law as if it also applied to Him.

To put to you another way this is a false teaching because if a person thinks all they have to do is believe on Jesus or just abide in Him, then they do not have to worry about keeping God’s laws because He is the Law. This is the deception in such a teaching.

If God is the Law as per your defense of the Book of Mormon and not the Bible, then you need a Bible verse that shows that. No such teaching in the Bible even alludes to this at all. While God is the will behind the laws He gives, it does not mean He is the Law. God is more than the Law. God is love. God’s grace is contrary to Law, as well. It is by God’s grace that we are saved. So if God is just simply the Law, then there would be no grace as per how we first get saved and or how we can continue with God‘s forgiveness (1 John 1:9). So if God is law, then there is no grace or mercy. God’s grace teaches us to deny ungodliness and that we should live righteously and godly in this present world. The Chosen does not rebuke certain sins done by various characters on the show, and it makes Jesus out to be like an imperfect human being instead of the Eternal Word (GOD) who came down into the flesh of man.

If God is just the Law, we are condemned as sinners.
If Jesus is the Law, then no need to keep the Law, right?
The show does not show Jesus rebuking His followers for being drunk, etcetera.
They just believed on Him being the Law and they do not need to worry about keeping the Law.
This is deception.

In Matthew 5:17, Jesus is saying He comes to fulfill the Law. This means Jesus came to obey His Father in everything He was said to do by Him. But in the Chosen, you got the Jesus character making mistakes in trying to figure out on what to say at the Sermon on the Mount. But the Bible teaches that Jesus said and did everything by the commandment of the Father. So the show violates Scripture. If Jesus was the Law, there would have been no need for Him to obey the Law so as to fulfill it as per Matthew 5:17. So this YouTuber is seriously lacking any kind of understanding when he reads the Bible. He is just throwing out verses that sort of sounds like it and he hopes you will not check the verse for yourself and think about if it makes sense or not. He is just hoping you continue to enjoy the show instead of reading the Bible instead.

Look. Friend. Please do your own homework on the show. Dallas Jenkins is in league with Mormons. To not see this is to be blind. If one knows he is in league with Mormons and they do not see the quote from the Book of Mormon made by the character of Jesus, they are simply blind. Yes, it is not an exact quote, but if you know Scripture Jesus made references to the OT that were not exact quotes. So just a reference to the book of Mormon in that aligns with what it says should give you pause, especially seeing that the creator of the show is heavily involved with Mormons. It’s not a coincidence. He no doubt put the quote in the show because his friends are Mormons.
