Sabbath means "rest."
There was a (Canaan) rest Israel
failed to enter because of unbelief (
Heb 3:19,
Nu 14).
"Therefore, the promise of entering God's rest
still stands. . .There remains then a Sabbath (rest) for the people of God, for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his." (
Heb 4:1, 9-11).
Where as God rested from the work of creation, the believer ceases his effort to gain salvation by his own works and rests in the finished work of Christ on the cross.
Still not one verse says Jesus is the Sabbath.
A Sabbath rest
remains for God's people, which is
Sabbath keeping i.e. and is according to the commandment Luke 23:56
There remains, then, a
Sabbath-rest for the people of God;
The rest here means Sabbath-keeping. It does not say a Jesus rest for God's people, you would be adding that in to make your case- changing God's Word.

Many of the Israelites did not enter their rest and were consumed in the wilderness for their unbelief and disobedience Heb 4:6
And scripture reveals what they were disobedient to: Hence Heb 4:9-11
Eze 20:13 Yet the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness; they did not walk in My statutes; they despised My judgments, ‘which,
if a man does, he shall live by them’; and they
greatly defiled My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My fury on them in the wilderness, to consume them.
Eze 20: 21 “Notwithstanding, the children rebelled against Me; they did not walk in My statutes, and were not careful to observe My judgments, ‘which,
if a man does, he shall live by them’;
but they profaned My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My fury on them and fulfill My anger against them in the wilderness.
We do not receive God's rest by being disobedient to God (which is unrest) and we are called not to follow the same example of the Israelites...
Heb 4:11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.
This is the definition of the rest in verse 11 there are two different rests in Hebrews 4 not one and if we allow the context to reveal itself, it reveals God's will.
