The Palestinians aren't happy with their current leadership.

In a poll taken just four months ago, 69% of Palestinians said Hamas doesn't deserve to represent the Palestinian people and satisfaction with the President of the Palestinian National Authority, Abbas, stood at 17% with 80% wanting him to resign.

Is that because the Palestinians want a government more Islamic? More terroristic? Harsher...?

...What do they really want? For real.

According to the poll, the biggest reason they are upset with Hamas, is because Hamas hasn't been successful enough in uniting the West bank with the Gaza strip.

...So they want someone STRONGER than Hamas! Someone worse..! More terroristic.

They want to have their own state to live in where there is an opportunity for themselves and their families to prosper and live a peaceful life. Their wants and desires are no different than yours or mine.

Sounds reasonable.

I didn't get that from looking at that poll.
I'm not sure what means they prefer in accomplishing their goals, to be honest. That was merely a wild guess, I admit.

But in my defense, the poll doesn’t state otherwise.

Aid trucks cross Rafah border, providing first relief to besieged Gaza Strip

Trucks carrying humanitarian aid passed through the Rafah crossing from Egypt into Gaza on Saturday for the first time since the war erupted. U.N. officials hope the 20-truck convoy will start a sustainable effort to provide aid to the people of Gaza, who are facing dire conditions after Israel announced a “complete siege” this month

Palestinians told The Washington Post it would be extremely dangerous to distribute the aid without a halting of Israeli airstrikes, which have continued across the Strip, including in areas Israel said were safe zones.

There hasn't been any serious dialogue between Israel and the Palestinians in well over a decade.
As recently as 2020, Palestine rejected a peace plan without even reading it. Can't have a dialogue when all you've got is a monologue.

I predict that Hamas will start firing lots of rocket's from southern "safe zones", in hopes that Israel fires back, and kills innocent Palestinians.

Israel's Iron Dome can't handle so much rocket fire though, in which case, they'll have to return fire, to extinguish the assault. For the sake of their own citizens.

If such a scenario does occur, I hope people in the media don't immediately jump on the bandwagon, and start condemning Israel.

You mean Trump's plan that allowed Israel to annex its illegal settlements in the West Bank and give them all of Jerusalem? That's a non-starter; of course a proposal like that would be rejected by the Palestinians.

I suspect you may not know how negotiation works.

Not everything is negotiable, and asking the Palestinians to give up more land and all of Jerusalem would fall into that category. Any peace plan that includes those stipulations isn't a serious attempt to bring an end to the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians.

I believe there are many Palestinians who want to and are capable of negotiating some sort of peace. Unfortunately, they are suppressed from accessing leadership and I believe a similar situation exists on a larger scale in Iran. That being said, the criminal leaderships also have many supporters. Iran seems clearly divided as a society; the Palestinians are harder to gage and their situation more critical of course.

Apparently you fail to understand why asking the Palestinians to give up more land and all of Jerusalem would be a non-starter in any peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.

Isn't the end goal to destroy Hamas? Do you think allowing them to assist in the rebuilding of Gaza would help in achieving that goal? Also, if you go back and read my earlier post, you will see that I included the Palestinians as one of the parties in the rebuilding process.
Yes the goal is to destroy Hamas, but they are not interested in rebuilding. They are interested in death and the killing and obliteration of the Jews.

The reliable Hadith (tradition attributed to Muhammad), [found] in the two reliable collections, Bukhari and Muslim, says:
"The Hour [of Resurrection] will not come until you fight the Jews.
The Jew will hide behind stones or trees.
Then the stones or trees will call:
'Oh Muslim, servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.'
Except the Gharqad tree [which will keep silent]."
Therefore it is no wonder that you see Gharqad [trees]
surrounding the [Israeli] settlements and colonies.."
[PA TV (Fatah), Jan. 9, 2012]

The United States wasn't responsible for all of the catostrophic damage found in most cities in Germany and Western Europe that occurred during World War II, yet it led the way in rebuilding. This played a major role in a long-term path to recovery and political and economic stability in the region. It also benefited the US economy and formed strong relationships between the US and western European countries that continue to this day. Same with Japan.
This was after the complete surrender of Germany and Japan. Israel has no obligation to do anything of the sort until Hamas is utterly destroyed and defeated. They have not done anything like what the US and her allies did to Germany and Japan.

The Arab nations are nothing like Germany and Japan. Their hatred for the Jews and bloodthirsty ways are deeply rooted in their religious beliefs that the Jews are their enemies and must be obliterated at all cost. Killing Jews is worship of Allah. Your ignorance on what they believe and how they act is quite clear.

The PA teaches that Jews think they are superior to others, but are in fact are inferior.
The PA teaches that Jews are Satan’s partner spreading evil in the world and that evil is inherent in Jewish genes.
PA Antisemitism blames Jews for all bad in the world;
PA conclusion: It is natural that the Jews be hated and in fact, Jews brought Antisemitism on themselves throughout history, including the Holocaust.
Ultimately, the PA teaches, the killing of Jews is Allah’s will and their extermination is necessary so all of humanity can live in peace.

The Palestinians have shown NO desire to change that. They have not called for peace with Israel. Their desire for a change from Hamas has nothing to do with trying to make peace and to work out a two state solution. Death to Israel, death to the Jews is their desire because it is the will of Allah.

They have have NEVER shown a desire two live in peace. What even during cease fires they continued to attack.

When they finally come to the table to with a real willingness to work out a two state solution and stop calling for the death of Jews and extermination of Israel then maybe Israel will consider helping. Until the Palestinians turn their backs on and utterly reject that and completely surrender there will be no peace in Palestine and it will be no one's fault but theirs.

Israel to ‘hand control of Gaza back to Palestinian Authority’ once Hamas wiped out

Once again proving their willingness to let Palestinians exist there and have their own place. But do you think that will stop the Palestinians from attacking them? I doubt it very much. The Palestinians and have shown no resolve to do so.

I completely agree. They have shown NO ability to restraint themselves. I mean they use hospitals for crying out loud. What makes anyone believe the safe zone would be left alone?

And of course the media would start blaming Israel as soon as Israel lifted a finger to stop it.
