  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In this world, many people suffer from physical, intellectual, developmental, or mental disabilities, such as OCD, PTSD, bipolar, ADHD, Autism, Down Syndrome, split personality disorder, etc. How should we see them in God's family?

God loves them, John 3:
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

They have the Paraclete dwell in them when they are born of the Spirit. This connects them to the body of Christ, 1 Corinthians 12:
14 For the body does not consist of one member but of many. ...
21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, 24which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. 26 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.
That's the spiritual reality in the body of Christ.

We look forward to the day of recreation, Philippians 3:
20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it, we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21s who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body,
No more disabilities.

Jesus will reward every one of us, Matthew 20:
15 "Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or do you begrudge my generosity?" 16 So the last will be first, and the first last.

When we look at the big picture, in the end, God is just.

"How should we see them in God's family?" huh? For the glory of God. He Christ would not have just passed them by and do nothing.

Sorry but not one verse you posted deals with the question you asked. What can you believe? :) As our bothers said.. that name faith in that name healed this man.

The same as we should see everybody else.
God accepts and loves, and Jesus died for, all.

Just like everyone else.

I am a spirit and I have a soul, and I live in a body. So I never really got to see my Wife's spirit, or anyones for that matter. Jesus told us to look towards the inside and not on the outside. We all have different paths to walk with the Lord while we are here on earth.

Can you quote my words and contradict them?
At 62 something I still have not mastered is talking, spelling, words. Sorry I mean.. as I read it didn't address it. I think it comes down to how we both are looking at it. So to skip over what I was looking at.. if they believe in trust in Jesus Christ they are family period. Is that what you were talking about? I was looking at healing restoring .. blah blah blah.. sorry

The Bible is clear that all is for the Glory of God.

John 11:4 Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.”

Do people with autism look forward to heaven? Won't they have a meltdown given how bright and loud heaven is and the endless fellowship with the brethren? That could easily exhaust one in no time before needing a retreat for a recharge.
THey can look forward to being healed also. There used to be a website a few years ago called "Mom's Against Autism" with many good results ... too many I guess - the power/money/controllers (apparently) censored it and it is gone now.

With the breath of Yahweh, the spirit of Christ, they are refreshed same as anyone else abiding in Christ Jesus.

No.
I believe that when we die, we become perfect and are free from sin, illness and suffering. A paralysed person will no longer need a wheelchair, a blind person will be able to see and other disabilities will vanish. So I don't think anyone will have a meltdown when they hear other people praising God.

Did Jesus 'become' perfect when He died ?
Were His Wounds still evident when He Showed them to His disciples after He rose from the grave ?

I have mild autism myself. Acoustics in the common sense do not exist in heaven, as the realm does not abide by physics. For me, heaven sounds amazing, and I would be ecstatic to meet the Lord & Savior and have many questions for Him about the fine-tuning of the universe and physics. :) Also, any ailments will be removed once we reach heaven. Plus, I am okay with airports (and actually enjoy them) and those are relatively loud and crowded places.

That's very good for you but as you know every autistic person is different. Some would shudder at your description of heaven.

Most "healthy" people seek to hide under rocks and in caves when Jesus returns...
they shudder at the judgment coming !

Yep, that is true, but God is all accommodating. He will understand, and make heavenly experiences perfect for all, along with removing any disability.

Are the toxins here on earth, in people's blood streams , lungs, bones, and brains,
considered a "disability" ?

Well, some toxins could contribute to some disabilities. Lead, smog or chromium in the mother's bloodstream could cause the brain to form differently in their babies. Some toxins could cause disabilities afterwards, such as lead, smog and chromium again.

Yes. Note that the most toxic of toxins is not in your post - mercury.
