"I think the 300,000-plus people who got jobs feel better about the economy," Biden said. "The American people are smart as hell and know what their interests are. I think they know they're better off financially than they were before. It's a fact."
Joe is consistent. People know that they are better off financially just like they know the border is closed, safe, and secure.

We cannot “close” the (Southern) border, so your assertion is moot.

It is a fact that increases in wages cannot and will not keep up with the rising cost of gasoline, food, and other necessities since the start of "Bidenomics."
As far as I am concerned, Joe Biden's economic record is just a little short of becoming a disaster for the majority of people within the USA.

Please post some data that backs up your deeply held belief that the economy is in “bad shape”, thanks.

The fact that wages have not kept up with inflation for decades is not due to “Bidenomics”. Families have been struggling and living paycheck to paycheck my whole life. Throw in a world wide pandemic disrupting world economies and then there is no savings buffer to float on, families are under water. This has been predictable for a long time.

However, "Bidenomics" has exacerbated this problem to an extent that I have not seen with a level of continued inflation since the 70s.

Inflation has been decreasing from the peak post pandemic.

Inflation is 3.2 % Inflation in 1980 was 14.8%
Mortgage rates are 6.5% Mortgages in 1980 were 13.74%
Gas in 2022 was $4. Gas in 1980 was $4.25 in adjusted dollars.

Somehow, we survived 1980. I don't know how numbers, which are significantly better in 2023 are "a disaster".

Add that 3.2% on top of the high inflation from last year, please.

I find it very astonishing that it appears some here believe that we are living in good economic times.
Economy in active recovery is where are. Good is not in the forecast as far as I can see. It has been declining since the post war boom.

I blame having to pay considerably more money for the same things. The latest being my car insurance premium just went through the roof this month. I looked it up and most everyone has experienced a sharp increase.

That's because a bad economy is one of the strongest reasons why voters choose a different president/party. Therefore admitting that the economy is in bad shape is like admitting defeat.

Say what!
Biden can close the border immediately if his handlers would let him.
And violate the USMCA treaty!?
Really?
I did not know that a President could make the Nation arbitrarily ignore an international treaty because of political concerns!
Wow, I learn something new everyday!

And yet despite this astonishment, posts like this retreat to asserting random feelings rather than providing any sort of evidence. Seems that if it were so obvious what Fox News telling followers to believe was actually true, that this evidence would take no effort at all to post.

It makes sense though, when you’re taught to distrust anything “the establishment-government” says until the “correct-[dear]-Leader” has the reins. Perfecktly logical, after its fashion.

Who are his supposed "handlers"? Name them.

Record low unemployment, gas prices are down, the stock market is up. If this were a Republican President y'all would acting like this was the Roaring Twenties 2.0.
