  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It wouldn't. It's scripture and therefore I believe it
Right so if Luke being a Gentile was to say the same statement and it wouldn’t change the definition then Paul being a Pharisee has nothing to do with the meaning of that statement.

The passage says from one Sabbath to another, not from one day to another

Isa 66:23And it shall come to pass
That from one New Moon to another,
And from one Sabbath to another,
All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the Lord.

The saints are not going to be coming before the Lord 24/7 in the New Heaven and New Earth as scripture tells us the saints will be working - attending to vineyards and building houses.

Monday through Friday is not one Sabbath to another and one Sabbath to another is not from day to day or from one day to another.

Scripture shows the saints will be working in the New Earth/New Heaven tending to vineyards building houses, so it appears a similar week cycle God gave man on earth- work six days, rest the seventh day Sabbath and keep it holy continues. Exo 20:8-11 Sabbath is not disappearing in heaven and will be a glorious day when all the saints gather around the Lord for worship Isa 66:23, just like in the garden before sin separated man from God. Gen 2:1-3 Mark 2:27 Gen 1:26 Since sin separated us from His presence, we should be worshipping Him in His Spirit from one Sabbath- to another keeping His Sabbath day holy as His will for us in heaven is the same for us now. Mat 6:10

Did you read verse 21? Surely you know what the term “some of them” means. I even quoted it for you,

Ok in proper grammar usage when an action is said to take place FROM one time TO another that ALWAYS includes all the time between those two times. It means that every single time. My 10 year old daughter with a 4th grade education understands this.

I go to church from one Sabbath to another, but I do not attend church daily. Does that delete the days I do not attend church, no of course not, so you're not making an argument I'm making. Going through this again is not going to make a difference, so I am okay leaving it as agree to disagree. This gets sorted out soon enough.

Right so if Luke being a Gentile was to say the same statement and it wouldn’t change the definition then Paul being a Pharisee has nothing to do with the meaning of that statement.
Huh? Whar are you talking about? If Luke said Paul was a Pharisee and of the tribe of Benjamin and circumcised on the eighth day it would make a difference? How?

No you don’t because that statement is not grammatically correct as I’ve already pointed out and even quoted a grammar website. The word FROM indicates the point of origin or beginning. The word TO indicates the point of destination or end. You know this because you’ve used these words correctly before in these posts.

Reading the bible from cover to cover is all that is needed to understand God's Truth. That is just an example of how people can unlearn the lies that have been handed down to them. We are only sanctified by the Truth of God's Word John 17:17 and only God can sanctity us. Eze 20:12

Like I said, I am not the one that you need to convince.

Exodus 20:9 seems to indicate otherwise

and does Exodus 20:8-11

If you can point to the scripture that says this. I have read the Bible from cover to cover and there is no scripture that says the first day is holy. God only made the seventh day holy which does starts Friday evening and goes for a full 24 hours.

The word you keep wanting to remove that provides the context is from one Sabbath to another. I already explained this:

I go to church from one Sabbath to another, but I do not attend church daily.

Seems easy enough.

There is not a single Bible version that agrees with you. Not one. I'd say all those linguists have a much better grasp of how to translate from Hebrew to English than you do.

You’ve explained it incorrectly because as I’ve proven it’s not grammatically correct and the word “another” isn’t in the Hebrew text, not that it makes any difference, but I already pointed that out to. So when you said you read the Bible from cover to cover that means you only read the front cover and the back cover of your Bible? No it doesn’t and you know this.

The Bible isn’t a grammar book so no it doesn’t contain any verses explaining how the words “from” and “to” are used correctly in a sentence. However the link I posted to both you and her is a grammar website and does explain their usage.

I don’t know why this site is not recognizing this biblehub link but if you copy it and paste it into a web browser it will take you to the page showing a word for word translation from the Hebrew to English.

Perhaps you haven’t read post 599 yet brother.
I read ir, multiple timer. and every Bible versui disagrees with your reading of the Hebrew. I have 47 versions of the Bible on my laptop and not a single version agrees with you so the rest are extremely unlikely to.

What Bible app are you using on your laptop that has 47 Bible versions but doesn’t have any of these Bible versions? I’d really like to download it and take a look at it.
