So we're up to what, 4 indictments at once now?

2 impeachments as a sitting president, year and a half Jan 6t committee investigating, dozens of lawsuits, countless accusations, and 4 simultaneous indictments. All made up of his most hated enemies, with federal agencies at their disposal and millions of dollars spent and they haven't been able to "get him" yet?

At some point you have to realize there is nothing to get. But at this point they are throwing anything and everything at the wall praying something will stick.

Even if it were Biden in Trump's shoes at some point I'd say this has to stop because it's a mockery of the government. And this stinks of political assassination. They are trying to make him.unable to run, or interfere so much it messes up his campaign.

Why are GOP voters, according to polls, supporting a candidate with 91 criminal charges?

Information Control is the “I” part of the B.I.T.E. Model. Trump supporters are not to read the indictment. Otherwise they may start to think Trump did something wrong and that can’t be allowed.

It will be interesting to see the evolution of your viewpoint after his first conviction or plea deal.

He has 4 trials.

Fed prosecutors have ~ 80-85% conviction rates at trials.

The idea he will win all four cases is optimistic

Or maybe, just maybe, he did the things he's accused of and broke the law as a result.

I don't know why, he seemed to believe laws were being broken by others. Whether that was true or not, this seems backwards... Charging an accuser..? Weird!
Really?
What logic are you going by?

Normally if a suspected crime happens, then an investigation is done, which gathers evidence, and then when the evidence is compelling and points to a suspect, then charges are laid on the suspect.

It seems this is what has happened here.

Using your logic. I could murder someone, have my finger prints on my knife that is sticking out of the murdered person's body, have witnesses that saw me stab the person, but if I immediately accuse someone else, then you would find it weird that I (The accuser) am getting charged.
Really?

Well, if they read it, they might change their mind, and we can't have that.
They didn't watch the 2 impeachments, they didn't read any of the 4 indictments, but they do launch themselves with full vigour to defend D Trump on the internet. armed with the "information" given to them by Tucker, and Hanity, Ingram, Piro, MTG, Brietbart etc.

They could go to the actual source, but meh, it's so very boring.

They don't seem to care. They seem to be more concerned about "socialism", "gay agenda", "CRT" and see Democrats as the threat to USA. They seem to be happy for a Republican to break all the laws to stay in power in order to stop those criminal and dangerous USA hating Democrats.

2 impeachments as a sitting president,

Yes, which ended up being by party lines with Republicans even voting to not even consider any evidence. Not really a "nothing."

year and a half Jan 6t committee investigating,

A Jan 6 committee that had no power to do anything to Trump. Kind of like that hearings now against Biden, other than at least with Biden they can try to impeach him depending on the evidence they find. It is worth pointing out, though, that the Jan 6 committee turned over their findings to the Special Prosecutor and ended up part of one of the indictments.

dozens of lawsuits, countless accusations, and 4 simultaneous indictments. All made up of his most hated enemies, with federal agencies at their disposal and millions of dollars spent and they haven't been able to "get him" yet?

Yes, as you point out, there are 4 indictments -- which were made by Grand Juries who found there was evidence to bring charges. Let's wait to see how those indictments turn out, if Trump is convicted at trial, before we try claiming they can't "get him." You seem to be trying to put the cart before the horse here, trying to state Trump is innocent before the trial has occurred.
At some point you have to realize there is nothing to get. But at this point they are throwing anything and everything at the wall praying something will stick.

Again, we are in the middle of the process with the indictments, not the end. The indictments are not an end. And if this was a post-Presidential prosecution of Biden, even if he were running for President, I imagine you'd claim it was completely deserved and not political at all. Let's take the political blinders off and see what evidence (and defense) is presented at the trials.

So there's nothing to talk about here.

...Moving on.
Well, yeah you should move on to another thread if you aren't gonna bother spending any amount of time looking at the info presented.
You clearly aren't interested in discussion of this topic, you just want to plug your ears and make a show of it to scoff at those interested in this discussion.

It'd be a lot easier for Trump if he didn't break the law you know.

What would you say this is?

Either way, indictments are the first step of a criminal trial. If you're so confident that these trials won't "get him", then why do you care that they happen? Why is it that the normal process of law is considered a "mockery of the government" only when it impacts a republican?

The assigned judge: (I would say his docket is full for the next 2 years....I wonder if he has presided over a RICO case?)

One of the newest judges on the Fulton County Superior Court bench, Scott McAfee, has been assigned the sprawling racketeering case that charges former president Donald Trump and 18 allies with scheming to undo Trump’s 2020 election defeat in Georgia and elsewhere.

McAfee, a lifelong Georgian who lives in Atlanta, was nominated to fill a vacancy on the bench earlier this year by Gov. Brian Kemp (R), who had previously praised McAfee as “a tough prosecutor” who could “bring those to justice who break the law.”

...

Keith R. Blackwell, a retired Georgia Supreme Court justice who hired McAfee as a clerk more than a decade ago, described him as having a “down-to-earth” temperament. Blackwell said McAfee’s work was driven by following “the law, as best he can, wherever it leads.”

ATLANTA (AP) — Donald Trump and 18 allies were indicted in Georgia on Monday over their efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss in the state, with prosecutors using a statute normally associated with mobsters to accuse the former president, lawyers and other aides of a “criminal enterprise” to keep him in power.

Allies charged include:
Jenna Ellis

I understand that prayer may be all the defense she has. Rumor has it that Trump's campaign-cum-legal-defense fund will not be supporting Jenna because of her kind words about Ron DeSantis.

It's the one thing that keeps stunning me. People know that Trump values people entirely off of loyalty to him and him alone. Even before he was president, back during the days of being a real estate mogul, you were either loyal to him, or an obstacle. He's never gonna lay down on the wire for you, he's never gonna go bat for you.

And yet full well knowing this, people kept tripping over themselves to support him, knowing he'll toss them away at the tiniest slight.

It's really something else.

Sycophants are a perplexing bunch. Just look at the legions who'll line up to defend people like Elon Musk for being 'innovators' (the tech bro version of being a 'maverick' in the political scene), despite the fact that they're terrible, amoral psychos. Power will always attract lickspittles looking to collect whatever crumbs they can from the big table, even if the emperor who claims it in fact has no clothes. (Or the most perfect clothes, as they may say.)

That's going to be quite a trial. I suspect it won't finish before the election is over.
It will take years, with 19 defendants, 19 sets of attorneys, mountains of documents to go through, and all the accompanying Motions that will be filed, if it ever even makes it to trial. Some of the charges are repetitive and, shall we say, ambitious.
