  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The first defendant to flip of more to come:

"A defendant in the sweeping election-interference case against former president Donald Trump and 18 others in Fulton County, Ga., became the first to plead guilty on Friday. He also agreed to testify against others.

Scott Hall, a 59-year-old bail bondsman who prosecutors alleged played a wide-ranging role in efforts to overturn Trump’s loss in Georgia, pleaded guilty to five counts of conspiracy to commit intentional interference with the performance of election duties. The felony charges were reduced to misdemeanors because of Hall’s status as a first-time offender."

...Sydney Powell is next? (trial scheduled in 3 weeks)

You got it in one, my friend. She's rolled over and will now likely be a witness for the prosecution.

The dominoes are falling. Any bets on the next one?

How much of that $100k per guest do you think Rudy will actually get?
Apparently nowhere near enough.

....I would have guessed Chesbro, but apparently he has chosen to stand trial (jury selection is starting today...though I presume he could still enter a plea before the start of the actual trial?).

Mark Meadows takes bid to toss Georgia election charges to Supreme Court

Trump’s former chief of staff says his alleged actions after the 2020 election that are at the heart of the Georgia charges against him were tied to his official federal duties.

Mark Meadows, Donald Trump’s former White House chief of staff, took his battle to throw out the Georgia election interference case against him to the U.S. Supreme Court, asking the justices to overturn a lower-court ruling that rejected claims that his alleged conduct was tied to his official federal duties.

The move comes more than seven months after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit upheld a lower-court ruling from September that found Meadows had not proved that his alleged conduct, charged as part of the sweeping criminal racketeering case, was related to his official duties as Trump’s most senior White House aide.

It was, but I think here the defense is "it was my job to falsify and interfere with the election results."
