Wow powerful stuff. I must try to see this movie. I think its an important issue to bring up. We know there was the child abuse inquirey within government institutions and the church and we know human nature can be evil even within the church. many children go missing due to growing conflicts, organised crime and displacement.

We know online porn is growing including child pornography and other sexual expressions and we know we are exposing kids to more sexual content and sexualizing them. Nothing is Truth everything is relative and feelings are the ultimate reality. Western secular society can be the best and worst of humankind and we have led the way into this new Postmodernist era.

We only need to put 2 and 2 together to realize what is going on. Its the West who are in the position to take advantage or at least a certain group or type of person that can exist in the West with money, opportunity and contacts for this to thrive. So maybe there are some powerful and influential people behind this.

I think at the very least child sex trafficking is growing and its a Western problem as much as anyones problem. We are suppose to be the guardians of the world of the disadvantaged Rights especially children. If 2 million kids are being exploited then thats enough to investigate this further and find out whats going on. Why people especially on the Left at more concerned about fake news than the actual content seems strange consiering they are ultra vigelant about minorty Rights and protection.

Well, there are actual child trafficking experts who are worried the inaccuracies and conspiracy theories might harm ongoing efforts to fight child trafficking. I suppose as long as one discounts those voices they can pretend the media is "playing defense for pedophilia". Seems shortsighted though.

The subject of a film is hardly in a place to be considered an impartial judge of it.

Or like the people in law enforcement who actually have task forces to stop child trafficking. The task forces who have to deal with the crazy false conspiracies put forth by people who are part of this movie and share those same kind of insane conspiracies.

I don't think it's the content of the movie or theme that's causing some on the left to steer clear of it or not want to not give it good reviews as much as it is the actor involved in the movie (Jim Caviezel, who many on the left don't like), and who the people are who are touting it (primarily right-leaning pundits)


I have no doubt the inverse would occur if a notably liberal actor was involved in some sort of project like this and MSNBC were touting it...conservatives would find a reason why they should dislike the movie.
