Note the RCS thrusters in podromos' picture. RCS = Reaction Control System. The RCS thrusters are pointed in different directions to provide attitude control so the vessel doesn't spin like a top.

I personally would like to see videos of the Lunar module being launched from earth. and fly around.

'Flight simulators' are needed to train airline pilots these days but, before they were invented, man still learnt to fly the 'mechanical' way!

It was designed for lunar gravity. It wouldn't have worked 'down here'. But they could mimic it.

If nothing else, this shows how dangerous the mission actually was. And what a cool dude Armstrong was.

This was brand new technology and that simulator would obviously not work exactly as it would on the moon, so the guy was risking his life just lifting off in that thing. You saw how close he was to being killed and all you can do is make trite comments about him?

Enough men and women have been killed 'playing this game'. Some of them not even having left the ground. And you want to belittle their courage and smirk at their sacrifice and cast aspersions on their integrity?

...Funny how this supposed accomplishment shows how great man is and what they can do. So much now, Biden thinks he can stop climate change by blocking out the sun.

I believe God embedded "Easter eggs" into His creation.

Proverbs 25:2a It is the glory of God to conceal a thing:

Things that were not to be discovered until the time was right.

(Such as oil.)

And when the right time came, God enlightened someone to find them.

Proverbs 25:2 ... but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

(Notice God refers to scientists as "kings"? Solomon was one such scientist/king.)

But all in God's time.

The tower of Babel showed mankind was moving too fast, and had to be put in check.
