What if I am raptured and my three dogs remain?

I know this probably sounds silly, especially because I have friends and family members who are not saved. I believe they will be left behind. But I have considerable anxiety thinking about my husband and I being raptured and our three dogs starving to death. They are in crates when we are at work. It's not something I can really arrange with a non-Christian friend, because it would essentially be saying, "When I'm raptured to Heaven, you'll still be here, so can you take care of my dogs?" I can't see that going over well.

I don't think the Bible is clear on this issue, but based on what I've studied, I think it's unlikely dogs (or cats) will go to heaven. They don't have souls. So how can I stop worrying about this? Can any other Christian pet owners give me some advice?

I like the idea of leaving a note and Bible behind, but who would find it? By the time some stranger made it to my house, my dogs would have died. I have no family members in town and just a few close friends who are Christians.

I do want to believe the Lord will take care of them. As the Bible isn't clear on this issue, I will trust the Lord.

Your anxiety, believe it or not, is caused by doctrinal misconceptions, but the one bit of encouragement is that, if you’re in Him, you will know He’s coming before He gets there.

Dogs will be fine. I sense little giggling from one of them. Ezekiel chapter 13, fly away doctrine is lie. It's false doctrine. Revelation 13, everyone will be tested by antichrist near future. Thiers no rapture. God is using satan as antichrist to test people. God wants to know who loves Him enough to study sound doctrine, ephesians chapter 6. Those who worshipped antichrist will have spot in hell, revelation that 14. It's holding place for the spirtualty dead or wicked. The animals will be in paradise. I'm sure more giggling. Peace.

Only logical way I can imagine to do that is to accept that it is God's responsibility to deal with it and that we finite humans do not have the power or resources to do the job to any degree beyond superficially.

I mean, what can you really do?

Do you get a storage unit and pre-pay 7 years plus an unknown length of possible gap between rapture and Tribulation rent on the thing (would the company even take seven, fifteen, thirty, years prepayment?) and stock it with same 7 plus unknown years worth of pet food, pet medicines, and in my case cat litter?
Do you make sure the people you enlist to help after you are raptured will never accept Christ since if they do they might get beheaded while your pets are still alive and then your pets will die from starvation and thirst?
Do you assume, "Well, hey, since God isn't powerful enough to deal with the situation, I have to do it."?

Why not trust when it's all said and done, it will be absolutely good because God is absolutely good? You have your ideas about what will be and you're worried. Let God be God and trust it will be good. Wasn't God worried about the cattle (large livestock) when it came to Jonah and Nineveh? If you love your pet, which you should, God loves it more. Stop worrying about that. All creation awaits its freedom from decay and futility. Why? Because God is love.

I’m going to ask Jesus if I can carry my pet to my new home in heaven … I don’t think that’s gonna be an issue for Him

I had the same fear for my cats more so when i pass what will happen to them and someone here said the Lord knows and they will be ok. Something to that affect. It gave me reassurance when he said what he said.

I think Your worry is worldly.

I think a Christian should not think about animals like they are human beings. They are not the same as human beings, but people tend to treat them like they are on the same level as humans, but they are not, it's clearly stated in the scripture that animals are to be ruled over by humans (and even God allowed humans to eat each of them).

You can trust God to know what he is doing with his creation, which includes the animals.

One thing is for sure: You won't worry about anything in heaven.

I once had a dog (Prince) we all loved very much in the family. He's dead now. But I asked a personal favor every time I have thoughts about him - that God will grant me an opportunity to be reunited with Prince in eternity, and I believe He has granted my request. I think you can do the same. The Bible doesn't expressly say that there won't be animals in eternity. I believe there would be, and if that is so, I want no other animal friends but my good friend - Prince. There were animals in the garden of Eden!
