What do you think are God`s purposes for making the nations, for Israel and for the Body of Christ?

The nations, and Israel, are 'pictures' of the real thing, the Body of Christ; and the Body of Christ is the Bride of Christ, bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. It is for this that he made us. This is about Christ, not about us. About God.

So why did God make actual nations and work with Israel (which God made) for over 1,500 years to be just a `picture?`

Among many other reasons, so you and I would have this conversation.

He made the many nations/ people-groups, among other reasons, so that he could show that he does not esteem one set of genetics over another. He chose Israel, among other reasons, to demonstrate his particular love and redemption, for those unworthy ones upon whom he chose to show mercy.
