So I am in fact having a moving sale of my store

Basically I cannot move most items alone anyway. I cannot do Door Dash et al because every time my son and I have 2 cars, one dies. This has happened 3 times now.

Nobody volunteers these days unless they get something. Which is ok, I give a credit for clothes, discounts etc etc.
But they never last.
My sales have taken such a severe nose dive the last year or so.
Gas bills are way too high. I had to pay $174 for keeping it 40 degrees when I didn't open in Jan which was warmish BTW.

I made it a moving sale because the guy across the street who was nasty to me [talked stuff - lies of any sort just to close me] for asking if his girlfriend was ok, would feel smugly superior for 'closing me' as he promised he would do. I just do not think people like that should give themselves high fives for doing such things.

I don't know what to do now, but I guess I will refigure it and try to find a grant or such to build back up to do it from another angle?

I honestly wanted to help homeless children since college.
But I cannot do it if I am homeless.

Pray I figure things out and that the Lord help me know what direction I should go.

PRAY I sell all I need to sell ASAP.

I have an idea... What if I use the building as storage for others? Do I just get them to phone me for access and they have to have an itinerary of items? Or just large furniture storage?

I’m sure there would be legalities, insurance issues, etc., to deal with on that. I would not do anything without consulting with a business attorney. Just to keep yourself covered.

I allegedly have another friend who wants me to open in Pittsburgh area.
He allegedly has a friend who writes grants.
So, being my other friend of many years didn't do much, maybe, I say maybe he will
At this point... I keep praying.

Just spent a while, not too long, chatting up a herione addict to go get help, and take the drug to substitute for it.
He claims he didn't know existed. He also swears up and down he isn't on it while he's crashing standing up. Like um, I am so not stupid.

Tranq is serious & heading our way, and I am warning folks. Mostly narcan resistant.

How about consignment for people? If i could find someone to come and get my stuff to sell in their store it would be a wonderful answer for me. We used to have a consignment here we'd bring our stuff to but the owner would have to be super honest and not pocket the money when it sold.

Well, here's the update.

I will update if and when anything happens.
I learned that putting it out there = nope.

I'm still closing. Here's the thing... it's so pathetic even 75% off and people seldom bother showing up.
The last couple days I made $40-50??

So yeah, it's just not feasible to keep going.

I WISH the council was over turned. A new council who don't hoard the tax money - and who knows where it goes because this town for half a MILLION a year could look better.
The police are owned by the drug thugs.
Most of the people are 'zombie's' and my 'fan' has spread a new 'rumor' that he walked in on me having 'relations' with a customer.

So I am pretty upset over such vulgarity and the garbage that people that want to follow the path of being horrible.

I don't know... I don't do revenge but I do spend time explaining his garbage lies aren't true.
And I ask... does the Lord vindicate people?
I mean here I am trying to help people, and this .... person is trying to ruin my every ounce of 'character' and what do I do?

I wish he had to move away, far away, somehow.

Yes, people can judge for themselves, but often they don't bother.

I’m sorry you are having so much trouble WA. Sounds like the inventory is not moving. You may need to cut your losses on that so you can move on. As far as that man, sounds like someone that needs to be served a restraining order.

I am sorry for your situation, Angel. You are sensitive to spirits, so ask God for a sign, but it sounds like He is giving you a lot already. All that effort and nothing to show for it.
It is a pretty big neon light that God wants you somewhere else, but I understand that it’s hard to let go what you have now, no matter how bad it is. I have had so many situations in my life where God was trying to get my attention, but I did not listen.

Auction houses will sell your things as a lot. It would be nice if they picked it up. Inventory would be tough i would think if you had a lot of little stuff.

I called an auction house.
I have 1200 [and + storage] sq ft of items galore.
They charge $20 an hour to price it and so forth.
I'd be paying them a ton up front and maybe break even. I have heard it's not beneficial for a store like mine.
