Yes He does so not sure why the issue with the law of Moses, just like Jesus condemns those who do not follow the commandments of God. Matthew 15:3-9
Where is the scripture that says we no longer have to love God with all of our hearts or love neighbor from the law of Moses? There are lots of different laws in the scripture and not ALL laws ended, and you would see that if allowing the scripture to interpret itself.
The scripture tells us which laws ended....
Colossians 2:14 Blotting out
the handwriting of ordinances that was against us,
which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
It’s definitely not referring to any of Ten Commandments that were written by the
finger of God, not handwritten and are not grievous
1 John 5:3
Good advice that you yourself should take.
How does this isolated scripture you keep referring to fit with the rest of the context of God’s Word.
Here is the fruit of a saved person- are they without law?
Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints:
here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
The problem with your theory that we are without law makes man immortal and that was the first lie the devil told Adam and Eve. That they could sin (break God's law) and never die, but God said the opposite. Your theory without law also makes no need for a Savior and who do you think wants us to believe there are no laws we need to keep? Revelation 17:12 We either please God's adversary or God one path leads to condemnation, the other to righteousness Romans 6:16
Just curious if you read the scriptures you post.....Jesus was condemning those who keep their laws/traditions over the commandments of God. Which is still happening today despite the many warnings in the Word of God.
Mark 7:1 Then the Pharisees and some of the scribes came together to Him, having come from Jerusalem. 2 Now when they saw some of His disciples eat bread with defiled, that is, with unwashed hands, they found fault. 3 For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash
their hands [in a special way, holding the tradition of the elders. 4
When they come from the marketplace, they do not eat unless they wash. And there are many other things which they have received and hold,
like the washing of cups, pitchers, copper vessels, and couches.
5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?”
6 He answered and said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written:
‘This people honors Me with
their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
7
And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’
8
For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men—the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do.”
9 He said to them, “
All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. 10
For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ 11 But you say, ‘If a man says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me
is Corban”—’ (that is, a gift
to God), 12 then you no longer let him do anything for his father or his mother, 13 making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.”
Interesting you choose to ignore the majority of the translations, that's okay I can work with this. What does it mean to wash their robes? What do garments represent in scripture? Are clean garments those who sin and are unrighteous or those and obey God and keep His commandments. Lets look at the next verse who tells us those who are outside of the gates to heaven...
Revelation 22:15 But
outside are dogs and sorcerers (Breaking commandment #1
Exodus 20:3) and sexually immoral (breaking commandment #7
Exodus 20:14) and murderers (breaking commandment #6
Exodus 20:13) and idolaters (breaking commandment #2
Exodus 20:4-6), and whoever loves and practices a lie (breaking # 9
Exodus 20:16 breaking any of the commandments 1 John 2:4 because all of God's commandments are Truth Psalms 119:151
How does that compare to Revelation 22:14 Blessed
are those
who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
Those with clean robes repent from their sins, which means they have a change of heart, no longer want to be a salve of the devil who sinned from the beginning, but want to walk in the Spirit of God- who keeps His commandments John 14:15-10 Romans 8:4-9
You might consider studying the laws in prayer because I think you have a lot of confusion in regard to the different laws in the Holy Bible.
No scripture tells us.....
Psalms 40:8
I delight to do Your will, O my God
, And Your law is within my heart.”
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven,
but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23
And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
1 John 2:3 N
ow by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4
He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5
But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
Jesus talks about this very thing....
Matthew 5: 21 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire. 23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Is Jesus releasing us from the letter of the law and we can now commit murder? Of course not, if we are living by the Spirit which is
greater than the letter, the letter of the law would be kept. Jesus is magnifying the law Isaiah 42:21 just as it was prophesized, which means to make greater. Not only does Jesus not want us to commit murder, He wants us to change our thoughts and feelings towards our neighbor and change thoughts of contempt to love and compassion and in doing so "thou shalt not murder" would automatically be kept. This is what it means to walk in the Spirit. Jesus gives us the Spirit to help keep the commandments, not break them. John 14:15-18 and the Spirit is given to those who obey Acts 5:32
Those walking in the Spirit is not an enmity to the law of God, those walking in the flesh (sinning/without law) cannot please God.
Romans 8 :4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those
who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded
is death, but to be spiritually minded
is life and peace. 7
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God;
for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8
So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His
