Those are alleged crimes. He's considered innocent of them under the law until proven guilty.
This is true.
He needs to be charged and convicted of at least one of them for the felony aspect of the indictment, I would think.
The prosecution only needs to prove intent. Trump doesn't have to be charged or convicted of any additional crimes to be found guilty of a felony in this case.

That sounds very sketchy, and I think it gives Trump excellent grounds for appeal.

There is no "compelling evidence" here. Braqg doesn't even have jurisdiction over Federal election law. The FEC does and they found no reason to prosecute. This is a sham case brought by a George Sorros backed political hack! NEXT CASE PLEASE.
One of the parties to the payoff was indicted and pled guilty; the “crime” has been established, why the FEC/DOJ hasn’t charged anybody else in that scheme isn’t within the purview of Mr Bragg. But the facts indicate that these charges stem from that crime. The coverup always makes the initial crime worser.

We will just have to wait and see how strong the evidence is. Since one party involved in all of this has already been found guilty of commiting campaign finance violations among other crimes, it may not be as difficult to prove Trump's involvment and intent as it would have been otherwise.

You said he was subject to prosecution and hadn’t learned his lesson. How can he learn from something that’s never happened?
"Nothing you can prosecute him for." Your quote. What I said is he hadn't learned the lesson between right and wrong.

Can you provide evidence of this without an article that requires a paid subscription?
What the NYTimes article notes:
"In New York, falsifying business records can be a crime, and Mr. Bragg’s office may have built its case around that charge, according to outside legal experts and people with knowledge of the matter. The false business records charge is the bread and butter of the district attorney’s office white-collar practice: Since Mr. Bragg took office in 2022, prosecutors have filed 117 felony counts of the charge, against 29 individuals and companies, according to data kept by the office."

False ! Someone has been watching too much MSM!
If Detz is defending Trump at an impeachement hearing, which was broadcasted on every media outlet in the states, and he gets in the well and argues Trump didn't do anything wrong in defense, then he "also thought Trump didn't do anything wrong" What's so hard to grasp?

Gosh. What compelling legal analysis.

Common tactic of the left. Everyone they disagree with is either racist, antisemitic or have some phobia.
Not everyone, but many of them. Claims about Obama's birth certificate were based in racism. Soros-backed has already been covered, and there sure is a lot of homophobia on the right.

And many on the left, not all of them, can’t admit when they’re wrong.

Thanks, this just reinforces my point. A close reading will show I did not say everyone the left uses this tactic. I did say it was a common tactic.

It has to do with his religion however you might want to dress it up.
I didn’t “dress it up” I was referring to his tactics and use of his money and power to bring about change in this country not in keeping with our constitution. I care nothing about where he was born , his religion or lack thereof. He is a menace to our freedom therein lies the reason for the “boogeyman” reference.

Even if Trump isn't convicted, or if he's convicted but just gets a minor slap on the wrist, I think this sets a very important precedent. It demonstrates that even a former president isn't completely above the law.

And now that the precedent has been set, maybe we can get a couple more indictments going in the near future. Because that Georgia case and the classified documents case need some resolution one of these days.
True, it shows that if you cross the higher ups in society that define the experts and media you can still get in trouble. But that is not news rather than just a reminder of who's really in charge of the worldliness, but even that accuser is not really in charge for Jesus is Truly all powerful.

Lying was one of the other crimes. Shouldn’t be much trouble for Trumps defense team.
