God Commands and causes us to walk and obey.

If God causes all the Believers here to "obey" then they will be happy to PM you and you can explain to them why they are confessing sin for years.

So, really Bill.

Do you even realize what you are writing?
Take a look at it....
Really.

Good Day,

Y that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men. For not all have faith.

For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ

Your first verse is talking about unbelievers, who murdered The Lord Jesus The Christ and were also killing the apostles, and even today those who are of the "anti-Christ" spirit, kill Missionaries, and deny the Cross of Christ on Forums.

Your 2nd verse, is talking about :

John 16:33

33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble/Tribulation. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Good Day,

And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.

God gives, puts, removes, causes (verbs) that God does.

We then walk, are carefully obey.

The purpose of Gods doing ( verbs) is to ensure their effect. He is the cause and we are effected.

The Beauty of the NC.

In Him,

Nice old Testament verse.

Now, if we move to the New Testament and New Covenant, we find that God has come to this earth as Christ on the Cross to redeem you from all your sin.

Paul teaches.... : "Jesus is the one time eternal sacrifice for all sin".. as "God hath made Jesus to be sin for us".

And from that cleansing through the blood of Jesus (Blood Atonement) we are then given the "Gift of Righteousness", and the New Birth, having now become a "New Creation in Christ".

None of that is earned, all of that is GIVEN and received.

Welcome to : Salvation

ITs a "Gift".

Good Day,

It must be granted

Faith is required.

Its not then granted.

Faith in Christ is based on free will, .. the hearing of the Gospel, .. the convicting of the Holy Spirit, and repenting from unbelief.

This is the person doing this, and God will accept their Faith, as their Faith is "counted as Righteousness".

God would require us to believe, if God forced to to believe.

Notice this verse.. Notice the penalty for Christ Rejection.
And Bill, you can't reject Jesus unless you had the opportunity to believe.
This means that Christ Rejectors, are allowed to hear and believe.
No one is forced by God to believe, as Calvin's lie teaches.

""Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. NIV Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but WHOMEVER REJECTS the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on them.

In a previous post you stated that God causes you to obey.

I showed you that God does not.

Now, you have changed your theology and reposted a new one.
Good Day, Chaleb

Scripture is quite clear.. I have been very consistent while you have shown your continuing mishandling the written word at every turn.

Would you care to exegete the text?

In Him,

Bill

All the believing ones have eternal life.

For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake,

Grant:

charizomai
khar-id'-zom-ahee
Middle voice from G5485; to grant as a favor, that is, gratuitously, in kindness, pardon or rescue: - deliver, (frankly) forgive, (freely) give, grant.
Total KJV occurrences: 23

Scripture is clear.

God has Granted it.

Why in your mind do some have faith while others do not?

Ti 2:23 Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.

One can not repent unless it is granted for the stated purpose of leading to the knowledge of truth... that is why it is granted.

Scripture is clear.

In Him,

Bill

Sure.

I'll use the New Testament., specifically related to the "time of the Gentiles".

Paul said....

Philippians 3:8

5Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;

6Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. 7

(Paul kept the Law and Commandments) = Blameless.
He did all that.

Now how does he describe all that Lawkeeping??

Read carefully...

But what things were gain to me, (Lawkeeping) = those I counted loss for Christ.

8Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but DUNG, that I may win Christ,

9And be found in him, = not having mine own righteousness,WHICH IS OF THE LAW,<<<<

but that which is through the FAITH of Christ, the righteousn= which is of God BY FAITH

"Christ is the END OF THE LAW.....for Righteousness"..

"The Law is the power of sin...... The power of sin is the LAW"

"Christ came to redeem us from the CURSE of the LAW"

The born again are "not under the LAW.... but UNDER GRACE"

What is Granted?

The Cross of Christ is Granted.
Its GIVEN as : John 3:16

John 3:16-17 is the "granted".

"Granted". = God's mercy has graciously given to us, the "Gift of Salvation" and "the GIFT of Righteousness'".

What is Granted ? = God's mercy.= The Cross of Christ., as its "freely Given" or Granted based on God's GRACE.

Why in your mind do some have faith while others do not?

Thank you for the question, Bill.

Here is what Paul says.. as your answer as to why unbelievers wont come to Christ.

1.) "Having loved this present evil world".

2.) "Having their minds blinded by the devil, lest the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ should shine INTO THEM"

3.) "For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved."""

("""Jesus is the LIGHT of the World"..)

New International Version
“You stiff-necked people! Your hearts and ears are still uncircumcised. You are just like your ancestors: You always RESIST the Holy Spirit!

New Living Translation
“You stubborn people! You are heathen at heart and deaf to the truth. Must you forever RESIST the Holy Spirit? That’s what your ancestors did, and so do you!

English Standard Version
“You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always RESIST the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so do you.

Berean Standard Bible
You stiff-necked people with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You always RESIST the Holy Spirit, just as your fathers did.

Berean Literal Bible
You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears always RESIST the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, also do you.

King James Bible
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always RESIST the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

New King James Version
You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always RESIST the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.

That is what is called adding words to the text "granted" is not in John 3 at all. We do see God Granting us ability to come to Christ (because no one can) but that is John 6.

Again Acts 11 repentance has been granted by God, not granted no repentance.

Faith is not Granted.
Its required.

"Believe".

This is faith being required.

God would not requrie that you believe, if God forced you to choose Christ, as Calvin teaches.

Believing is up to you.
Preaching the Gospel is up to people like me.
And remember, "faith comes by HEARING the GOSPEL"......not by being forced to believe. as Calvin's lie teaches.

How do you receive "the Gift of Salvation" and The gift of Righteousness'?

Like this..

"FAITH comes by HEARING" the Word of God. = Paul's "Gospel of the Grace of God".

"faith" is counted as righteousness" by God when you believe the Gospel.

The believer is "justified by Faith", without works.

From where comes faith? You have the answer in your quote from Romans 10:17.

1.) The Gospel of the Grace of God, is given to an unbeliever..........this can be shared by witnessing, or taught on a forum in a post, or preached from a Pulpit or on a Street Corner.. Then as this "seed of the word going forth""", "The Preaching of The Cross".... and The Holy Spirit "convicts" the heart of the Listener, revealing that this GOSPEL is for them and its true, and then under this Holy Spirit conviction, they have the Free Will Choice to Believe and be born again, or resist and remain : John 3:36

Now.

Let me post Clare73s post, for the benefit of the others, so that they can see what she wrote, vs, what you are dening.
Ok?

Here is what she wrote.......... and i'll condense the post it as 1-2-3, and then maybe you can understsand it, as so far you have not., Mark.

She wrote...

"""""1.) There is still WORK to be done....
2.). an obedience to the one Christian rule.....

3.:.....which leads to righteousness leading to holiness """"

Now , what she just said is...>there is a WorK to be done, by YOU that Leads to Righteousness and Holiness".

Listen Mark......if we could create our own righteousness by doing something, then Jesus didnt have to die on the Cross.

See that WORK that Lead to Righteousness that she is teachig? That is not TRUE.

There is NO WORK you can do....that leads to Rightoueness as you are this......>""Whlle we are YET SINNIERS">... Christ saved us".

Do you see that?

There is no Work you can do, as she teaches......that lead to Righteousness and Holiness., as the CROSS is the only Salvation that God provides, that is the "GIFT of Righteousness".

We can't create our own Righteousess by WORKS... .and that Gospel is : LEGALISM

There is righteousness before God and then there is righteousness before the world. Two kinds of righteousness.

Righteousness before God is that righteousness imputed to us as pure gift, because it is Christ's own righteousness, an alien righteousness that is not our own. Imputed to us, accredited to us, through faith. It is not our faith that makes us righteous, it is faith through which we receive Christ's righteousness. That is the righteousness which justifies us before God--a declared righteousness, we are declared just on Christ's account because Christ--not us--is righteous.

But there is a righteousness before the world which we are called to, an active righteousness of works. That is the meaning of Scripture such as Ephesians 2:10, we were created FOR good works in Christ.

This is the New Obedience that arises from a regenerated life of faith, the new man alive in Christ rather than the old man who is dead in sin.

We are still to do good works, not for God, but for our neighbor.

Two kinds of righteousness. The righteousness apart from the Law through faith, which is the imputed righteousness, passively received from God who graciously gives us this righteousness as pure gift, through faith alone (which God Himself gives alone). And the righteousness of works which we are to live out by picking up our cross and following Jesus, loving our neighbor.

Justification deals with the passive, imputed righteousness we receive through faith alone.

Sanctification deals with the active righteousness which we are called to have as disciples of Jesus Christ, living by faith and the power of the Holy Spirit who is day-by-day conforming us to the image of Christ our Lord.

That is why the Reformers of the 16th century stressed the sharp distinction between Law and Gospel, between the two kinds of righteousness, and not confusing them, nor denying them.

The Law says "Do".
The Gospel says "It is already done".

From the Heart.
That is where faith is found., and God sees the Heart as God looks on the HEART.

Lets say im in a room with the members of this Fourm......70 of you. and you all brought some people.
Now we have 160 people.
I know that some of the members are not saved, and many of those who were brought are religious but lost.
So, after the greeting and the intro and the mini bio, i am going to turn on Paul's Gospel.... I'll "Preach the Cross"., as "the preaching of the Cross is the Power of God, unto Salvation".

I am going to Do this..... Jesus said.>"if i be LIFTED UP, i will DRAW all people to me".

And when i Preach the Cross, i am Lifting Up Jesus on the Cross for People to SEE, Hear about, and "faith comes by".... me doing that.
How?
The Holy Spirit will take my words and they will become alive in the heart of an unbeliever, as the Holy Spirit reveals to their heart that my words, the Gospel, The preaching of the Cross, = is TRUE.
And some will come to the Cross by faith believing and their "faith is counted as righteousness" by God right then and there...., and some who are hearing this Truth, will grit their teeth, and clinch their fist, and harden their own heart against this TRUTH.

Well, we are not sanctified by our works, as an unbeliever who is a fake Christian, can do the exact same works.
Works are just works.
Christian "fruit", can be faked.

The devil read that verse that says...."you shall know them by their Fruit" so, his ministers will show you plenty of fruit.
They know how to fake it.

Also, I have a Thread you might read, that explains that 1 Corinthians 1:30.... = Jesus is our Sanctification.

VicCrucis......i get what you are saying but James explains it like this...

He is speaking about "dead faith".
Now he is not teaching "dead salvation" as heretics teach as "dead faith" by abusing James's verses.

James says this, that you are referring to as those works, ViaCrucis.
James says......>"i'll show YOU my Faith by my works".
"YOU".
So, James is teaching that His works prove his faith is alive, its real., for the benefit of others to see.
And notice that James says...>"I'll show YOU my faith by my works"........and that means other people.....other believers, . the world at large.
What does James NOT say?
He does not say..>"I'll show GOD my faith by my works".
See that?
And why not?
Because GOD sees your HEART........ He already knows if you are a faker or if you are real.
See, fake believers can fool other believers, by Appearance..by doing works, by posting a lot of verses they can't understand......but God does not look at your deeds as your faith or your real spiritual fruit......> God looks inside you for real faith, as that is where MOTIVE is found, ViaCrucis.

From the Heart.
That is where faith is found., and God sees the Heart as God looks on the HEART.

The Scriptures say "The heart is deceitful above all else, and desperately sick, who can understand it?" (Jeremiah 17:9)

No, faith is not found in the heart, the heart without faith is unregenerate, and is entirely opposed to God, Romans 3:10-18. It is while we were God's enemies that He loved us and saved us (Romans 5:6-11

Lets say im in a room with the members of this Fourm......70 of you. and you all brought some people.

The part you are missing is Ephesians 2:8, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God".

Faith is not found in my heart, faith does not come from me. Faith comes from God, and God puts faith there, works faith there, creates faith there by the Holy Spirit--that is the power of the Gospel, "For faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ" (Romans 10:17). Faith is not something I do, faith is something God gives.

It is not by my works, my power, my strength, not even my will to choose--it is by God's grace alone.

We aren't sanctified by our works, that's right. We are sanctified by God, by the Holy Spirit working and conforming us to the image of Christ.

But sanctification does involve our cooperation with God to live out our faith through obedience to God.

Our works can't make us holy; but God in making us holy has set us out into the world to do good works: Sanctification isn't the result of our works, our works are the product of our sanctification.

This is in contrast to our justification, which is something God declares to us: We are righteous on account of the merit and work of Jesus Christ alone.
