Sanctification deals with the active righteousness which we are called to have as disciples of Jesus Christ, living by faith and the power of the Holy Spirit who is day-by-day conforming us to the image of Christ our Lord.
Well, we are not sanctified by our works, as an unbeliever who is a fake Christian, can do the exact same works.
Works are just works.
Christian "fruit", can be faked.
The devil read that verse that says...."you shall know them by their Fruit" so, his ministers will show you plenty of fruit.
They know how to fake it.
Also, I have a Thread you might read, that explains that 1 Corinthians 1:30.... = Jesus is our Sanctification.
VicCrucis......i get what you are saying but James explains it like this...
He is speaking about "dead faith".
Now he is not teaching "dead salvation" as heretics teach as "dead faith" by abusing James's verses.
James says this, that you are referring to as those works, ViaCrucis.
James says......>"i'll show YOU my Faith by my works".
"YOU".
So, James is teaching that His works prove his faith is alive, its real., for the benefit of others to see.
And notice that James says...>"I'll show YOU my faith by my works"........and that means other people.....other believers, . the world at large.
What does James
NOT say?
He does not say..>"I'll show GOD my faith by my works".
See that?
And why not?
Because GOD sees your HEART........ He already knows if you are a faker or if you are real.
See, fake believers can fool other believers, by Appearance..by doing works, by posting a lot of verses they can't understand......but God does not look at your deeds as your faith or your real spiritual fruit......> God looks inside you for real faith, as that is where
MOTIVE is found, ViaCrucis.
