No, just no. Ray Epps was certainly part of the "let's go in the Capitol and stop the steal" crowd. He was not, however, not part of the "and we'll beat, bear spray and spear police in order to do so crowd". He was flapping his yap just like a lot of people were on the 5th and the morning of the 6th, but he didn't attack any police, he didn't enter the building and he didn't obstruct official proceedings. He has been investigated and cleared.
I'm sorry that inconvenient truth isn't good enough for the tin foil hat crowd who think that he HAS TO BE the scapegoat.
Even the supposedly darning video where he goes up to a guy and whispers in his ear right before he attacks the fence isn't what the liars on YouTube are telling you. Epps didn't tell him to attack. He told him to take it easy because the police were just doing their jobs.
Epps described his treatment following the Jan 6 Capitol riot by fellow conservatives as ‘criminal’. Graig Graziosi explains how he got here

According to the
Times, Mr Samsel was questioned by the FBI and fully corroborated Mr Epps' version of events.
“He came up to me and he said, ‘Dude’ — his entire words were, ‘Relax, the cops are doing their job,’” Mr Samsel told investigators.
No matter how hard you guys try to make him a thing, like fetch, it's not going to happen.
I love this nonsense the best. You're basically saying that over 1000 red hats - who were only there to walk arm in arm chanting upbeat slogans and singing Kumbaya - suddenly were thrown into a rage just because they hear Svengali Epps speak for 5 minutes. Some of them even travelled back in time, went home and brought body armor, baseball bats, bear spray and zip ties ONLY because they heard Svengali Epps speak for 5 minutes.
The whole silly argument is based on a tacit claim that 1000+ Donald fans were so weak willed that hearing Epps speak for 5 minutes made them attack the Capitol when they had no plans of doing so. It's also completely debunked by the fact that NOT A SINGLE rioter has used "Ray Epps made me do it" as a defense in their trial.
It's silly and frankly embarrassing for anyone making this claim.
