Thai food is wonderful as well.

I find Thai food to be very Lenten friendly. The only problem is most of those foods also contain oil, and often the worst seed oils in terms of human consumption. Canola oil (otherwise known as genetically modified Rape seed oil) is being used in almost everything, and it's getting to the point where you have to process all of your food at home to ensure your food is free of such oils.
