Right witch burnings took place during the moon landings. How about an actual equivalency like bleeding people to death as a cure? However I'm not addressing all science. Just the branch of science that's germane to the topic of this thread. I'll point out some of the blunders of it after I have time to collate sources to cite.

Evolution predicts that simple animals would be found in the Cambrian, and a wide variety including things as complex as dinosaurs would appear further up. That is what we see.

Flood-cleanup geology has no reason to predict we would see fossils sorted like this.

Yeah, learning that they're wrong. There's a trend now to accept intelligent design, but to go with the idea that it must have been aliens.

I just think it's a collection of pre-Jewish creation stories that stuck around. There's no religion that doesn't bring in stuff from the religion before it. The Genesis Creation story is of those, IMO.
