Is Astrology a science?

I've had the privilege of meeting, getting to know
some outstanding scholars, and other really most
excellent people in the USA, from Wyoming
rancher to NYC lawyers and other ivy leaguers,
who happen to be Christians. I've had long talks
with a most interesting Jesuit priest.

At the other end. I met someone who let me know
of his hatred for atheists and how he prays for Word
that it's time to kill all the atheists. Hed have me
hanging from a lamppost.

And there's those who just speak all manner of unjust
calumny, and are so ignorant that it most cracks my
brain to hear them try to talk science.

The RELIGION, Christianity is noble and even the
inquisitors or the meanest spirited lame brains who
call forth God to endorse them can reach it with their
spittle. Not in my eyes. Mileeage may vary.

I hope none would be judging the religion by
the least among you. Us. I dont.

You sound like an intelligent and WISE person.
Remember this when you're speaking to a so-called Christian....
If they don't exude love, they are not Christian or, at the least, they aren't practicing their faith.
Jesus said if we don't know love, we don't know God.

If they don't proclaim a God that IS
Love, mercy and justice, they are worshipping a different God than the one that created the universe, and as is represented in the bible.

Because it's interesting that you uplift scholars, lawyers, and Ivy Leaguers, so I'm not surprised.

They probably tell you what you want to hear.

Meaning they answer your good questions with some form of, "I don't know."

What we call "astrology" should properly be called "astromancy" (divination [fortune-telling] by reading the stars).

1. God hates fortune-telling schemes.
2. There is no scientific basis for fortune-telling of any kind, though they have a dark, spiritual basis if practiced in earnest.

True astrology would be using the apparent positions of the stars for calendar & navigational calculations, as He originally intended [Genesis 1:14].

I think what's being questioned/judged has more to do with certain beliefs and dogma about God than God HimSelf. I know that's hard to see sometimes, but I really feel that's the case.

John 3 says unless one is born again, he will not see the Kingdom of God. Here, being born again is described as being born of the Spirit.
John 1 also agrees, vs 13 born of God.
