Fun fact...AC contributes to the problem.
Fun fact, over 77% of my states energy is from Hydroelectric, and about another 15% is from renewables. I know for a fact that I am on the direct power grid the largest dam in the state is powering.

Plus my AC doubles as a heat pump to offset the energy use in the summer by using less in the winter.

You're telling me...I've been trying to convince everyone of the impossibility of fixing the problem.

No one wants to hear that.
So we should just let the world burn?

Might as well not have another generation.

Then if most of the people on this forum are right won't we just evolve to be able to handle the heat or go extinct so that a better suited creature will take our place? Isn't that the way the ToE works?
If it happens in one or two generations, then there is not enough time. It will rather cause mass migration, floods, hurricanes, tsunamis... life will be very unpleasant and costly, both for people and animals.

Solutions can be technological and regarding life style.

Doesn't matter. Your AC is part of the problem. Better turn it off. Be part of the solution.

I'm rooting for extinction, myself.

It's so nice to see you guys coming around to my point of view.
As they say if you cannot beat them, arrange to have them beaten, wait that’s not it.

So we will go without AC and change to electric vehicles and depend on solar and wind while China builds more coal plants. They will offset any difference we think we're making and they will get richer

There is no long-term economical point in trying to compete with other countries in who uses more of old fashioned and polluting technology and to destroy ourselves during that.

The point is creating new one that will be both effective and cleaner. To innovate.

From what I looked up, the issue is where the power comes from, not the fact the AC is moving heat from one place to another. Which is why I looked at where my electricity came from.

The point is what good does it do for us to cut back when other countries don't? Do you really believe we are going to change the climate?

If your neighbor is throwing his trash to the river, do you say to yourself "what change can I make" and do the same?

We must first change ourselves and the rest can follow later.

Its the "we can do nothing" stage of denial.

Congrats on moving through the first two stages!
