  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why does the New Jerusalem have to be so large? The answer is simple.

We are saved purely by the work and grace of God.

So why does the New Jerusalem have to be so large? In fact, its 1,500 miles wide, high, and thick its about half of the size of the United States. So why does God have to create something so large? Because the elect is large in number. In fact, the elect is as vast as the stars in the sky. Just imagine that for a second, there are trillions of stars out there, if not quadrillions of them. So the next time you think only a few people are going to be saved, think again! That's not what John saw in Revelation 7:9. That's not what Abraham was promised. We are all going to be surprised and overwhelmed at the sheer number of people that God died for because I hear it way too often. Only a few are going to be saved. That's just plain not true, the descendants of Abraham are a large number of people. So large that we need a city 1,500 miles wide to have homes and businesses for all of God's elect. Just, think about that for a minute! Even your wildest dreams don't even come close to what God has prepared for his elect!

Just think about how much God loved the elect that he chose people from every tribe, language, and nation! Yes even some of the Aztecs and Mayans are saved! As Pagan as those nation's were. Roman's, Greeks, Mongolians, Japanese people, Chinese people, you name a nation there are chosen people from that nation! Just... WoW! That blows my mind that such a loving God exists! It should blow everybody's minds because it's mindblowing.

So we don't live shoulder to shoulder?
For the sake of comparison. Consider that the 7 billion inhabitants at present of Earth can be casket buried in a cemetery the size of 5273 sq miles. That's a little over an area of 50 x 100 one mi sq sections of land or an area 50x100 mi. That is a hair larger than the land mass of Connecticut

News flash. 7B people are not going to heaven. In fact, many are not going and the bible lists some of the types who aren't.
If God can speak everything into existence, I'm sure this is effortless as well.
You'll never understand but a TINY fraction of things.

If the age of accountability thingie is right, then think about how many children and babies that have passed away throughout history. Theres also the matter of the 1,000 year reign. Assuming its literal, it makes sense a lot of people during this period will follow the Lord, and inherit eternal life.

Adding in all the truly saved in this present age, of course.

Cant wait to meet my beloved brothers and sisters!!
