Maybe specific topics thrown up by the Congressional hearings would justify new threads, but a multiplicity of overlapping threads might tend to more rather than less confusion..

[Officer] Goodman describes his experience leading rioters away from Senate chamber [in the trial of the Seefrieds]
Goodman testified that he interacted with Kevin Seefried directly on the first floor. Seefried used the base of the flagpole to jab towards Goodman and try to push him back.

"I approach him. I tell him 'you need to leave,'" Goodman said in court. Seefried then "uses the base of his pole to create space," between Goodman and Seefried, the officer said.

During this initial encounter on the first floor, Seefried "was saying things like [fornicate] you, I'm not leaving, where are the members at, where are they counting the votes," Goodman said.

The rioters were saying things like, "This is our America, you guys need to be on our side, where are they counting the votes at," Goodman said in court.

"I just remember the entire time telling them they need to leave," Goodman said.

The third hearing of the January 6th Committee has been postponed to Thursday.

The third Jan. 6 committee hearing scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed to an as-yet unknown day, the panel said in a statement Tuesday.


The committee's release does not offer an explanation, but a source familiar said the move was a result of scheduling conflicts.


The committee's next hearing will take place Thursday, June 16.


Jan. 6 committee member Pete Aguilar said the hearing would likely be moved to next week, although he cautioned that the calendar continues to be fluid.

Prosecutors filed a motion Friday asking a judge not to loosen restrictions on suspected Capitol rioter Riley Williams because they say she recently met with a man who wanted to shoot up a synagogue and lied about it.

Williams, 23, who is accused of directing rioters inside the Capitol and stealing Nancy Pelosi’s laptop, told probation officers she was getting a visit from her cousin in August. But the visit actually was from a man who had been convicted of stealing his roommate’s truck, and attempting to buy a gun with plans for a mass shooting at a synagogue, according to the motion.

BREAKING: The Jan. 6 select committee says it has obtained evidence that Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) led a tour through the Capitol on Jan. 5, 2021 — contradicting earlier denials by GOP lawmakers that any tours occurred that day.

Individuals on the tour photographed and recorded areas of the complex not typically of interest to tourists, including hallways, staircases, and security checkpoints.1 For example, the below image shows an individual appearing to photograph a staircase in the basement of the Longworth House Office Building while you speak with others nearby:

The below image shows members of the tour you led also taking photographs of the tunnel leading from the Rayburn House Office Building to the Capitol:

The behavior of these individuals during the January 5, 2021 tour raises concerns about their activity and intent while inside the Capitol complex.

[Judge] McFadden convicted both Delaware men of a felony count: obstruction of an official proceeding, the joint session of Congress for certifying the Electoral College that day.

[They also were convicted of a variety of misdemeanors.]

The son was also acquitted by the judge on three charges related to destruction of property (namely a window he entered through). The judge found that his destruction of the window was limited to removing a shard or two of broken glass from the frame as to pass through it and that the son hadn't caused any damage of his own. This seems reasonable to me.

Over a year and a half later, in continued defiance of our democracy, both the former president and his political party allies still maintain that the 2020 presidential election was “stolen” from him, despite all evidence -- all evidence now --that that is simply false. All the while, this false and reckless insistence that the former president won the 2020 presidential election has laid waste to Americans’ confidence in their national elections. More alarming still is that the former president pledges that his reelection will not be “stolen” from him next time around, and his Republican Party allies and supporters obeisantly pledge the same.False claims that our elections have been stolen from us corrupt our democracy, as they corrupt us. The January 6th Committee will seek to interview Ginni Thomas, for her part in contacting GOP representitives and GOP state officals, urging them to overturn the results of the 2020 election as part of Donald Trump's coup attempt.

The committee's plans come as Thomas faces scrutiny over her push to challenge the 2020 election results. The Washington Post first reported in March on a slew of text messages that Thomas sent after the 2020 election to then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, urging him to pursue efforts to overturn the results.

"Do not concede. It takes time for the army who is gathering for his back," she wrote to Meadows on November 6, 2020.

In another message sent days after news networks projected then-Democratic nominee Joe Biden the winner of the 2020 election, Thomas wrote to Meadows: "Help This Great President stand firm, Mark!!!"


"You are the leader, with him, who is standing for America's constitutional governance at the precipice. The majority knows Biden and the Left is attempting the greatest Heist of our History," she texted on November 10, 2020.

More recently, the Washington Post obtained emails that Thomas sent to 29 Republican lawmakers in Arizona after the election, pressuring them to overturn Biden's victory in the state.

Thomas also corresponded with conservative lawyer John Eastman, who was in Trump's inner circle after the election and drafted a memo outlining a plan to overturn the election, the Post reported on Wednesday.

What has been determined was that Donald was told by his own attorneys that what he was doing was illegal... And with that knowledge, he went ahead anyway.
