Heh. My dad was an abuser who believed that I would be absolutely no good as a parent and that all of my children would be "little monsters" who would never behave.

While that was not very good parenting on his part, at least it saved me from having to endure unwanted relationship set ups. I didn't want a relationship when I was younger - really did not want one - so I consider it a blessing in the end. There's a good side to everything, even something as dark as all of that.

I'm so sorry to hear that. That's absolutely horrible. As a teenager I had some things that I went through also that probably is the reason why I'm still single. I pray that you have been able to move beyond what you went through during those years and turn it for better things.

I have, mostly through acquiring a lot of spiritual lessons that I have used to help others. I consider myself to have fully recovered at this point - it's not like it never happened, but I'm able to think, act, and function normally as myself.

Well, you just never know who might try to set you up if you start talking about trying online dating or dating in general. Once you have friends or others that know, especially women, they will be keeping their eyes peeled for someone that might be a good match for you. I know that's how I've had people trying to match me. I get suggestions all the time but they're not people that I think I'm a good match for.
