  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So how is that BLM thing going?

New revelations???
Racists have been trying to claim Cullors somehow embezelled millions from BLM since she purchaed that 3 bedroom ranch house.
I guess some peopel are so caught up in their prejudices that they think a black woman can only have money if criminal activity is involved. Of course ot do this you have to ignore he fact she is a college professor and a best selling author and that she own a television producton company among other things.
Completely explains why nobody knows where all that BLM donation money was spent. Seriously, stop.

Let's not combine two problems. Funding (number of schools, quality and number of teachers, sizes of classes, materials and equipment etc) is different to any problem you might have with individual cases of leadership. The two aren't associated and you can deal with them separately.

Here's 18 reasons why maybe the system isn't as good as it could be. 18 Reasons the U.S. Education System is Failing - The Edvocate

They all need addressing. And funding will go a long way to doing that.
Then riddle me this. Why are private schools doing so much better ever though they receive less than half the funding of public schools?

Talk about being spoonfed by your favorite politician. How many billionaires are there in the United States? And do you really believe the money will be spent on education?
according to Americans for Tax Fairness there are a little over 800 billionaires in the United States. These 800 people control around $450 Trillian, about three times as much as everyone else.

If you took it all from them it would be gone in two years

Define "racists". So far, it sounds like the definition you're using is: A white person who calls out the wrongdoing of a black person.
Being educated is wrongdoing or being a best selling author is wrong doing? Or is the problem that she is black?

Unlike the public schools, they can select whom to admit.

The federal budget is less than $7 trillion, even with the additional COVID spending. $450 trillion would last almost 100 years.

because the only way a black person could ever have money is by stealing it...right?

Someone said something insightful recently:

Is it ok when a black person ends up being rich, especially after making a living from being "oppressed".

Being black is her solution rather than a problem. She wouldn't be anything if she wasn't exploiting and capitalizing upon what people view to be the ultimate victim class.

She wouldn't have a doctorate? Why wouldn't she be educated? Do you have a reason other than the color of her skin?
