Catalytic Converter Problem

Yesterday I noticed that my car was super-loud and today I drove it over to a local car repair shop. They told me over the phone that my catalytic converter had been stolen. My insurance company seems like they are willing to cover the replacement, which is a blessing. However, I'm worried that whoever took it may just come back to steal the replacement. I realize this a pretty small problem in the grand scheme, but it is weighing on my mind, so I decided to ask all of you for prayer. Please pray that the part would get replaced and no one would steal it.

I am reminded that apparently, the catalytic converter is the only part of the cart that is worth anything once it goes to the scrap yard since it has platinum in it.

I guess I could also pray the economy gets better so people feel less inclined to steal things.

Ask the shop to install sharp objects on it with posion. I once had a problem with someone stealing my car radio. I installed razor blades as washers, bent them out with posion on them. The thieft tried again, cut his arm open and got very sick. I heard him cry for help, went out to give him aid with rope around his arm to stop the bleeding. I let EMS know what the posion was. He lost his arm.

That happened to me a few times. Emissions inspection here has a program where they pay for part of it. Check with them in your state if you have inspections for that. There was something on the news the other night about a way to prevent it again. I didn't pay attention as I don't drive any more. Try googling it.

This is not to confuse "Catalitick" which is an ecclesiastical cat lover. If anyone asks whether the Pope loves cats, they could ask, "Is the Pope Catalitick?" Then again, he could be, as an essential driving force of his church, a Catalytic!

Get you garage to tack weld it to the rest of your exhaust system. The weld can be easily ground away by the garage, but the criminal would probable not be able to get underneath your can to grind away the tack welds and this would likely require a power source for the grinder and grinding away the tack welds would be exremely noisy and could not easily be done without attracting attention to what was happening.

The problem with that is some are taking the whole assembly, muffler and all.
