Promises and assurances of action are meaningless if they aren't followed through with. I'd rather that the President give an honest answer than lie and tell me what he thinks I want to hear.
Uh yeah I would expect you to say that as a Democrat, but I would point to things like Operation Warp speed, how he cracked down on China for their unfair business practices and got a number of our companies back. I don't think Biden can do anything that is not handed to him on a silver plater, he has botched everything his hands have touched in his short time in office:
1) The Chinese got the better of Blinken at the Anchorage meeting. They took all the social justice talk used in the last election and threw it all in Blinken's face when he tried to talk to them about human rights and the Uighurs.
2) The same sort of thing happened to Biden at the G7 expertly calling Putin a thug before hand, but having to walk it back because he secretly needed to ask Putin for favors when it comes to using military bases in places like Tajikistan because of the planned Afghan pull out. If you look at the aftermath videos it is easy to see Putin got the better of the exchange. Biden is visibly perturbed and testy with reporters but Putin is satisfied and copacetic.
3) His handling of Afghanistan set new records of horrible. He blamed Trump but was handed a number of outs from keeping the agreement if he wanted a do over. He basically tried to do his own thing, but blame Trump when things went south.
4) He had completely mismanaged the border. Even though he is/was against "Remain in Mexico" they had to eventually use it because of his previous ringing the figurative dinner bell sent more folks over here than what the Democratic border town mayors could handle.
5) His setting up AUKUS alliance was good but he managed to get the French super mad at him! Another example, where I think Trump easily could have worked "The Art of the Deal" and done a better job, but Joe was clueless until he stepped into it.
He has got new problems with the supply chain, an aggressive China vs. Taiwan etc. and things are not looking to good for him, because in all honesty he is doddering old man now (mentally speaking), and was not known to be the brightest bulb even when he was in his prime (in spite of the lies he tried to spin when he first ran for office in 1988).
