But really, zest and youthfulness is not always about our physical activities as much as a state of mind. I hope to be really attractive in my '70s.

Right. And I am sure that you will be. :)

Thank you for that information. What did you get your degree in?

Agricultural Science, with a chemistry minor.

Ran 9.7 mi today out in a location that was in the middle of nowhere

Whew. There she goes again. Catch this feisty neko lady while you can, gentlemen. She won't stay in one place for long.:D

That's interesting. How has that translated into what you do now? Is it something that you are using? Myself a double majored in broadcast journalism and religious studies. I have not used my degree for anything except getting into the Japan exchange teaching program.

Long story short, wanted to be a veterinarian while growing up, all the way up until halfway through college, hence the ag science major. Stuff got in the way, desire to be around small animals waned (don't get me wrong; I still like them well enough), and shortly after my GPA plummeted to about 3.5, an instructor who noticed my unusual fascination with the chemistry subjects that were required by my major, informed me that a company named Albemarle just out of town were looking for soon-to-be graduated to come to work in their lab. So that's where I wound up then (and after some moving around the South taking lab jobs in different industries over the next ten years, I ended up back there at the present), and have been a lab worker ever since. I also discovered a few years later after school that a college chemistry lab class was where my parents first met, so, you know .... ^_^

Haha. You're hilarious^_^

I live to serve. :satisfied:

I remember that. You were saying here once that you'd been in Japan as a teacher, yes?

That's an interesting story. It's good that you have found something that you like or was interested in back in college. Yes a lot of people do change majors. I changed from photojournalism to broadcast Journalism. Not too much different. I didn't care for journalism my third year into it, but I knew I wanted to be an Air Force officer so I needed to complete my degree.

I remember that. You were saying here once that you'd been in Japan as a teacher, yes?
Yes I was a an assistant English teacher in 17 Japanese public schools, Junior high and elementary in one town.

Sorry for all the pictures but I just was excited that I completed my first solo camping. I went out to support a friend for a marathon, I had invited a friend but unfortunately her sister passed away.
It was my first time building a fire, setting up a tent and making avocado egg and bacon sandwich. The sandwich was divine. My first night I only got 2 hours of sleep because of mosquitoes so I had to buy some kind of bug light and sticky trap. Also a fleece blanket since it was humid cold. I was blessed to have good neighbors who helped me out with something on my tent and also suspatula since I didn't bring one. The second night I slept so much better with the bug thing doing its job and there's nothing like the sound of rain on your tent to make you sleep. Fortunately there was no lightning.

I had Korean bimbap take out the first night. I tried three coffee places. Tim Hortons for the first time, it was just okay. Two of the others were quite hip, the last one I got their version of a London fog. It was divine and if I was in the mood for sweets I would totally recommend their donuts. I just like the people at the place that I was at and the music. Also even with my messy camp hair on Sunday morning, I didn't feel out of place because everybody had messy hair and a sleepy look.

One of the pictures of goats was where the marathon was. She completed it in 5 and 1/2 hours and she's 13 weeks pregnant.

There was a heat index advisory I think it was around 100° or something my sports dress was drenched in sweat and salt. I ran for 2 hours and something minutes.

Meanwhile the rest of us here are like: how does she do this day in day out?
