Aw, it's a vice to distrust these powers that be. Because they say so.

My boss says I have to take safety precautions, I take them or work someplace else. Healthcare jobs are plentiful and these type safety measures have existed in the US for decades. I long ago lost count of the number of vaccinations and tests required by healthcare programs that I have worked for. The most serious problem I ever had was the time the copier repair guy nearly amputated a finger and I got some of his blood on me while staunching the bleeding. Then I had to get a Tetanus shot.

But let's not allow too much hyperbole here - various employers and schools have required vaccinations before. The sky didn't fall then, it isn't falling now.

Vaccinations that have gone through years of research before being used on the general public. And then years of use generally, after that.
Yeah, some are trying to require hormone blockers too.

Yeah there is that, extremism that causes distrust. Science? Doesn't exist in who is male or female. Indoctrinating children in school. They accuse of abusive parents to not give them hormone blockers. Force, based on a denial of science. You are racist if you are white, just because you are, because they say so. This is the stuff that makes people not trust anything. That is their doing. Then to accuse of all kinds of mocking comments because they distrust you? Punish the stupid fools with no income. We have sense enough to treat an animal with trust issues with more compassion and understanding. But then again to you maybe they desreve it more than anti vaxxer because you say so.

distrust has been built before covid even came along.

With that in mind, I'm going to be sure tell the manager at the next restaurant I go to that making their employees wash their hands after using the restroom is "totalitarianism". I'm sure that they'll take it as seriously as we should take similar claims here in this thread.

You might have noticed that things are bit different recently than in the past - something about a disease killing hundreds of thousands of Americans in a year. It has been all over the news, can't believe you'd have missed it.

Yeah, I "chose" to learn something about the reality of how effective the vaccine is. I think this thread would be better if all posts relied on the same sort of factual backing. No one's going to get "punished" for doing so.

You are right, Those you trust are right. All those who disagree are merely choosing to deny your facts. Those that mistrust, are liars. Don't even allow them their facts in a discussion forum. We all know they are speaking untruths.

People out there don't believe "experts" that are quoted for facts. People can't even agree on what the facts are. That is distrust that has been built.

If you'll check the OP, it's about people working in a hospital being let go for putting patients and colleagues at risk. No one is being strapped down, shot up or locked up. Your irrational hyperbole is not helping the discussion.

It's about the unvaccinated. Which have chosen the risk to themselves. Whether a patient in the hospital, or anywhere else. And some of the unvaccinated being fired for that decision.
